The Best!

JMW, B&H Photo
6 February 2015
  • Excerpt: I was using a shoulder bag for the last few years. Then I discovered this backpack and would never switch back. It gives easy access to camera/lenses and has storage for tons of other extras you might need while out on a shoot. Laptop, water bottle, lens cleaner, hat, etc. Worth every penny.

Met My Expectations

RetiredGuy, B&H Photo
18 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought the 5788 Evolution backpack for a recent trip to New Zealand and it worked well for me. My gear included a D7100 with battery grip, speedlight, Sigma 50-150mm F/2.8 telephoto zoom, Nikkor 18-55 F/2.8 DX zoom, Micro Nikkor 40mm F/2.8 lens, battery chargers and spare batteries. I did not take a laptop on this trip but I wanted a pack that would accommodate one on future trips.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

One bag to carry the FX Camera kit

NSSKumar, B&H Photo
20 November 2014
  • Excerpt: Very sturdy, gives confidence to place the camera and lenses. Easy to pull out the camera with lens attached without dropping other lenses and flash. One thing I miss is to store more than one ND filter on side zip.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Strong Construction

Perfect for travel

Chris in Kentucky, B&H Photo
18 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought this bag for travel with a laptop and photo gear. The rear compartment holds my 15" laptop snug, but it fits without much effort. I have also been able to pack the main compartment with a camera body attached to the 100-400 lens, and fit a second lens and flash unit. The three ways to access this compartment are very handy. Only thing missing would be removable dividers for the top compartment, to secure a second camera body. All in all, very happy with the bag.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

Evolve to this Sling Backpack!

Honeybird Press, B&H Photo
22 October 2014
  • Excerpt: Expanding my photography business entails upgrading to more functional/rugged equipment for daily and travel use. The 5788 Evolution has not disappointed. It is very comfortable to wear - I'm a woman in my 50s and didn't want a heavy pack. Hiking with it fully loaded is not a problem. It's big enough for my Nikon, 5+ lenses, assorted accessories, a tripod, and a 15" laptop w/charger.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

  • Excerpt: Shopped around to replace my sling bag. Although they all say they will fit a camera with battery grip, they don't! Tamrac does! Well constructed and designed. Especially like the side access for my camera!

Great Bag

Noel, B&H Photo
5 September 2014
  • Excerpt: Well-made, rugged, strong. Can pack a full frame camera, three lenses, and miscellaneous items. Great for longer trips when you need additional equipment. Only complaint, which isn't much of one, is that the straps are too long for a smaller person like myself.
