Great Travel / Day pack

Jaybyrd, B&H Photo
 • Excerpt: Just returned from 12 days in Alaska. Independent touring and a cruise. Purchased the Evol 8 for the trip. It performed exceptionally well and is very well constructed. The camera compartment held the D7000, an 18-140, 70-300, binoculars, a charger, sunglasses and cell charger. With room to spare. The top section was good for passports, camera "raincoat", meds, a book, lunches, and a stainless steel coffee mug.
 • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Fits Under Airline Seats, Roomy, Strong Construction, Very Versatile
 • Cons: Chest Strap Too High, Heavy

Great line of packs

 • Excerpt: I have owned a evolution 9 for about a year and love it. I got this smaller model as a 2nd pack for my assistant. It works really well. I love the side access for quickly getting a camera out. I also love the various pouches and pockets for stashing batteries, cards, filters, etc. I have put my evolution 9 through some serious hikes, including a downpour in Olympia that would have soaked all my gear if not for the awesome included rain fly.

Great bag

MAKI, B&H Photo
19 May 2014
 • Excerpt: Wanted a bag to hold camera, laptop and general stuff for vacation. Loved it so much that it's become my daily bag. Very well made and comfortable to wear. My only issue is that the straps are extra long to be able too use as cross body bag, but if you're normally using as a backpack the extra length a pain to deal with, and really don't want to cut them yet, just in case.
 • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction
 • Cons: Straps too long

Well designed and comfortable to wear

 • Excerpt: I'm an adventure travel enthusiast. Seeing a new country from a hiking trail, bicycle, kayak, or horseback beats seeing it from a fast moving bus any day. I bought this backpack to carry my new Olympus OMD E-M5, lenses, filters, tripod, and other accessories on my travels, both on the trail and on the plane. The bag is solidly built and comfortable to wear. Perhaps a little bit heavier than I'd hoped, but a price you pay for the ample protection of my photography gear.

 • Cons: Heavy

Totally Happy

Adorama
29 January 2014
 • Excerpt: All of my prior experience has been with traditional camera bags so I will admit that this is my first (and only) backpack. However, it is so useful that I've abandoned my other bags and will rely exclusively on the Tamrac.

It has adequate room for my D600 (with the kit 24-85 lens mounted) plus a 28-300 zoom. Both fit with the hoods stowed on the lens (which I had wondered would fit). Also room for my 50mm 1.4 and the usual accessories.

Camera Backpack

30 December 2013
 • Excerpt: Teh versatility of this product is why I purchased it. The ability to be able to load and unload my camera in different ways is key for me. Many times while on travel to museums and castles I have to put the camera away quickly and then have a short window to take pictures minutes later. My old camera bag was small and it took minutes to get set up as I had to remove and then replace the lense.
