Second Tamrac Bag

DigitalScape, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: This is my second Tamrac bag (upgrade from the 9). Well constructed, nice padding for the shoulder. I got this bag so I could easily carry two DLSR camera bodies (with lens attached) for day trips. It has rooms for spare bateries, and nice pockets for the memory cards.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Strong Construction

Perfect All around

Jay K., B&H Photo
19 December 2013
  • Excerpt: I initially purchased Velocity 5768 but it was too small to fit my Canon 7D with a battery grip along with 3 lenses (16-35, 28- 70, & 70 - 200mm) and my 580 flash. I exchanged it wiht 5770 and I was able to fit all my equipment and still had room to put more!
  • Pros: Comfortable, Roomy

Great if you need something this large

Large/Heavy Camera Equipment, B&H Photo
6 April 2013
  • Excerpt: It's big, but if you have to carry an FX camera, 2 f/2.8 zoom lenses, and a flash, you need something this big, and it does the job. And the sling/backpack feature distributes the weight while keeping your hands free.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

Love it

  • Excerpt: I had the 8x, but I bought a larger camera with battery grip and found that not everything fit anymore. I tried a different bag but sent it back. It did not compare to the Velocity sling bag. The 10x sling bag is large enough for my D800 DSLR with battery grip and 70-200mm/2.8 lens attached and a smaller lens and flash in the bag as well. The front pocket holds 3 card cases, a light meter, and a white balance disk plus more.

7 September 2012
  • Excerpt: I HAVE THE VELOCITY 9X PRO AND RECENTLY ACQUIRED ANOTHER LENS SO TO FIT ALL MY CARRY EQUIPMENT I PURCHASED THE 10X. THIS BAG FITS EVERYTHING SAFELY AND SECURELY; CANON 1D MK4, 85mm 1.2L, 24-70mm 2.8L, 70-200mm 2.8L IS, 580EXll. ALOT OF HEAVY GLASS ALL WITH SUN SHADE ATTACHED AND THE SHADE ON THE 70-200 MOUNTED ON BACKWARDS. I ATTACH THE 24-70 OR 70-200 ON THE BODY AND BOTH SET UP STORES WITHOUT HAVING TO CHANGE BACK TO THE OTHER LENS.

My Main Bag

Rufus, B&H Photo
12 May 2012
  • Excerpt: GREAT BAG!! I bought the 10x and the 8x. I use the 10x almost exclusively to carry two cameras, a medium tele, wide angle, and converter. I shoot sports and nature and this bag fits the bill for both. The sling design allows you to strap UP for the hike to the field and then DOWN to the hip to easily access the gear. I shoot a tele on a monopod with the 2nd camera and wide angle ready to go in the bag for when the sports action comes close.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Easily Accessible Equipment, Great Design, Strong Construction
  • Cons: no rain cover, Not for long hikes, No Tripod Holder

Excellent backpack killer

  • Excerpt: Although I only have one SLR body camera, two standard lens, a 2x converter and a 100-400 canon telezoom, I chose the bigger bag in this model in order to have additional room for personal accesories like a sunblock, a t-shirt , a cap, granola bars, etc. for one-day trip photography. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. I can walk one full without major fatigue.

One less thing to think about!

Mike the Shooter, B&H Photo
14 November 2011
  • Excerpt: I put 2 of my DSLR's in the bag with lenses on (a wide angle and a 70-300 zoom) along with extra lenses for both, filters, cleaner, release forms, etc.....everything I could possibly need on an assignment. I don't have to think about the extras; I just grab the bag and go! It's a little heavy but that's not the bag's fault!! It's strong, well built and convenient for my work. Thanks Tamrac!! Thanks B&H!
