Great for few accessories.

Leonsky, B&H Photo
1 January 2009
  • Summary: This is a very well made bag, compact and sturdy. When I purchased it though, I thought I'd have very few accessories but the more I've gotten into photography the more accessories I want and now want to upgrade to a bag that unzips and show all the stuff instead of have to dig for it like a purse. This is a great bag for those with little baggage but other users with more stuff might want to look into other bags.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Hard To Access Equipment

Uncomfortable

  • Summary: I purchased this bag to carry my Canon 50D with 70-200 f2.8 IS,24-70 f2.8, and Flash. The bag met my needs as far as my equipment storage went. But the strap tended to cut across my throat and choke me.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Uncomfortable Fit

Great pack for short hikes

Fritz, B&H Photo

  • Summary: I recently used this pack on a few short hikes and bike ride. It has plenty of room for my Canon rebel with 28-80 lens along with my 70-200 mm lens. I also packed my Canon SD950 and a few wxtra filters. Everything was easily accessable. The bag never got uncomfortable.

Good bag to carry few items

  • Summary: I choosed this bag to carry some equipment to walk while traveling in urban scenes. Fit well with my Nikon D3 with Nikon 70-200 VR lens attached. I placed one Nikon 17-35, one SB800 flash leaving some space for two more lenses. But, with more lenses the weigth is a little unconfortable to carry. Is a good bag to carry few items, no more.

  • Summary: Is a tad smaller than I would have liked but I knew exactly what I was buying. As a larger man the pack is a little snug but very managable. Well made and good for a variety of adventures. Spot on.

Ok for short trips

NJ, B&H Photo
31 July 2008
  • Summary: The Velocity 9X is a decent bag for very short trips. It holds My D300 with grip and 70-200/2.8 attached. However, it does get heavy and pulls on your shoulder. I have to wear it on the lower part of my back to get more comfort. On the plus side, you have quick access to your camera and the bag is well made. It will also fit under an airplane seat.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Uncomfortable when loaded

Your camera with a long lens is ready

Nevzat, B&H Photo
23 July 2008
  • Summary: I have a big camera bag with all lenses & accessories, but it is heavy and it stays in the car. I bought this velocity 9X to carry the D2x and 80-200 f/2.8 and it is ready to shot. It is just I wanted. Sling option is easily turns the backpack to belt pack. The only thing that I didn't like is, it should be more comfortable as a backpack. I can always buy this bag again and again.
