Amazing photo backpack.

  • Excerpt: If you need a large bag for traveling, hiking, or just a bag to hold lots of stuff, look no further. There is a size range for the expedition series that fits every size need, but the 8x is awesome. I have so much equipment and the 8x was able to hold everything. It is a very large bag, but the extremely high quality and heavily padded straps make it a very comfortable pack to wear.

One big bag for all your kit

  • Excerpt: This is a great bag. Great construction. Looks like it will last for years. However this bag is big so carrying this bag all day may be a problem. Also bigger than Airlines will allow for carryon. No problem with my D7100 with 1500 - 500mm attached, D90 body, 70 - 200mm and several more lens, flash and 2 battery charges, filters and extra batteries. Great for storing or transporting your kit.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Hard To Access Equipment, Heavy

SWEET!

21 March 2014
  • Excerpt: The majority of my photography is in the great outdoors and requires a lot of travel on foot to reach my destinations. This bag has become my top choice. It has the capacity to hold all the gear I need plus the gear I would need if I were to leave it behind. This bag was made with a purpose in mind. It was made for the able-bodied pack mule of a man or woman capable of carrying heavy loads of gear on their back.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Can't find any

Lots of space to store your kit

cz3056, B&H Photo
20 March 2014
  • Excerpt: This one big case. Don't think I would want to carry this all day. You can store and carry a lot of lens (even a large telephoto or two), two bodies and all the extras you need. Will use when I travel on vacation, etc. Still need a small day case. Looks like great construction and should last for a long time. But remember this will be heavy to carry in the field. To big for carry on if you fly.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction, Well Paded
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Hard To Access Equipment, Heavy, To Large For Air Travel

Great Bag.

  • Excerpt: Love this bag. Used to have the 5x, which unfortunately got stolen. One thing I like about this one over the 5x is the waist harness and the padding. Sometime when I had a lens in the center bottom spot in my 5x, it would dig into my back. The padding and overall customization of this 8x is awesome. Tamrac makes some of the best bags out there.

Haha...a "medium sized pack"

Matt, B&H Photo
15 November 2013
  • Excerpt: There is nothing "medium sized" about this thing. Definitely the biggest SLR backpack I have ever seen. That being said, it is also a perfect fit for my needs. I shoot DSLR video using a Canon 6D and a Canon 1DC. I currently have 3 lenses as well as a stock of batteries, cards, filters, etc. Everything fits perfectly in here with room to grow. The backpack fits very comfortably on my back and has plenty of padding.

Exactly what I wanted

Adorama
4 October 2013
  • Excerpt: The only disadvantage with this product is that it is so well built that you can put too much into it for an aging back. I have looked at many backpacks for camera equipment and found this fit my needs and quality requirements better than other packs. Bought it used from Adorama at an excellent price and it looked like new to me when I received it! The evaluation by Adorama was conservative; it was in better condition than I expected.
