It makes a good case for itself

  • Excerpt: Perfect for an upcoming safari. Room for two bodies, plenty of lenses and other needed stuff. It'll fit in overhead on the plane, and it's not too bulky for the space you get.

Awesome size for traveling!

  • Excerpt: I traveled to Texas to shoot a wedding with the bag and although its a little bit wide, I was worried it wouldn't fit in overhead on my second flight-a tiny tiny plane. It did! Nobody questioned me about it or gave me a hard time like I use to have with my think tank rolling bags. Really like this one! Great construction!
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Strong Construction
  • Cons: A Little Wide

  • Excerpt: I carry a Canon 600D and 5D MkIII, with 3 lenses, a tripod, filters etc. They fit into this bag with plenty of room to grow (biggest lense is the 18-135mm). I like how there is a cover over the main zipper, quick access pockets on the front, and very sturdy carry handles, straps etc. So far I have no gripes, very happy, i would buy Tamrac again!
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Quality Zips, Roomy, Strong Construction

Excellent in quality and usefulness

  • Excerpt: Pros: This Backpack can have all the equipment in one place to protect the security and transport it comfortably. Very handy against other promising feature "swing" with fast access but ultimately sacrifice comfort in transport (especially important with heavy equipment). Cons: zippers of the two external pockets are not easy to operate. It is not a matter of life or death, but often the opening or closing process takes more effort than usual.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction

too bulky and not enough pockets

  • Excerpt: I am returning this backpack, although it is well built, but it is simply not for traveling or hiking. it looks like carrying a suitcase on my back. also after I starting to transfer my gears from my Lowepro Slingshot to this bag, I have a hard time figure out where I stuff all the lenses, filters and cleaning tools. I don't really have a lot of gears, just one D800 + battery pack, 70-200, 50mm, 105mm, 17-35mm and a flash.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Hard To Access Equipment, Heavy, Too Small

  • Excerpt: Very nice bag and not bulky at all. I have two cameras Nikon d700 & d800 with four lenses 14-24mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm & 85mm. I also have sb-910 flash. It all fits nicely and still have room for laptop and other accessories. Great investment for my equipment. Love my bag!!

  • Excerpt: This is a very comfortable backpack. It carries my heavy equipment easily and is very solidly built. The only thing I would like to see is a large "catch all" pocket to quickly stash odds and ends.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

Great Backpack for D600 and 70-200 f/2.8

Jim Constand, B&H Photo
13 January 2013
  • Excerpt: With the purchase of a Nikon D600, 70-200 F/2.8, and a 1.4x teleconverter, I needed a new bag to carry all my stuff all setup and ready to go. This bag does it. It has plenty of room for other lenses, flash, and Sennheiser camera set for my wireless mic. It is tough and the zippers are very rugged and waterproof. I use the laptop area to store manuals and a light jacket.
