My second Expedition backpack

Muz of Montana, B&H Photo
29 July 2013
  • Excerpt: I have an Expedition 4x and love it. Ran out of space. Liked it so well that I only had to decide which size I was going to purchase next. Decided the 5x had enough room to add another lens, filters, lens hood plus a flash, flash cord and filters so I bought it. Great backpack.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Good pack

Chasing the light, Adorama
19 March 2013
  • Excerpt: I purchased this back pack to hold my Canon 7d (with battery grip), speed light, 24-105 lens, 70 - 300 lens and 5 filters. The pack appears to be constructed very well and the interior separation devices feel strong. I have only used the pack on four or five small photo shoots and have enjoyed it.
  • Pros: Strong Construction

Good but Not Great

Ted, B&H Photo
13 November 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought this pack to replace the discontinued LowePro backpacks I have been using for 7 years. I carry an assortment of lenses, 1 or 2 DSLR bodies, and an assortment of small items. This offers about the same amount of space as the Lowepro Trekker. Construction is equal to or better, and the shoulder straps on this bag are easier to get on and off stiff shoulders. In almost every way this is a good replacement.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Fussy Little Pockets

Best Investment I've made

Sin Reinheit, Adorama

  • Excerpt: I really think this was a good investment. I carry up to two cameras, several lenses, and flashes with me. The outer compartments make it convenient for me to grab batteries, microfiber, or my tripod.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Roomy, Strong Construction

A very good product

EffeRed, B&H Photo
13 October 2012
  • Excerpt: High quality, it protects very well the devices from impacts. Good protection from rain, but it would have been better to have a rain cover, in case of very strong rain.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Strong Construction

Very Uncomfortable Backpack

PhotoPhil, B&H Photo
29 August 2012
  • Excerpt: What a disappointment when I got this home and actually put something in it. I find this backpack to be extremely uncomfortable. Once I packed in all my gear and started to wear it, it almost instantly became uncomfortable. It puts a lot of strain on my neck and feels like it's yanking my shoulders back. My wife even commented how it didn't look like it was riding my back comfortably and I hadn't even voiced my concerns aloud yet.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy, no rain cover, Poor zipper quality, Uncomfortable

Great Bag but has some issues

Derek, B&H Photo
20 July 2012
  • Excerpt: Overall the bag is great. You can TIGHTLY fit in two cameras and a couple lens etc. It is a good mix between the backpacks and other similar smaller ones that can only fit one camera and other gear. BUUUUUT. The downfall is with a couple things. First they have no rain cover (which they have on cheaper bags, so it is kind of lame to buy a more expensive product and lose little things that add up. My BIGGEST gripe is with the "laptop slot".
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Too Small

great for everything except the laptop

wnterhawk, Adorama
7 May 2012
  • Excerpt: the bag is great for just about everything except the laptop. It says holds most 12 inch laptops but I found it doesn't hold any. I have a 12 in HP with todays typical wide screen and the best I could do was get all but one corner in... So I tried my old Dell 12 inch with the old style screen and had exactly the same problem. The end result is it looks like it will only hold up to 10 inch netbooks... 12 inch not laptopsotherwise I found it great.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Everything has a place, Lots of Space, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Too small for 12in laptop
