Excerpt: Photography is a passionate hobby of mine. I usually like to take all of my equipment with all the time just in case a shot presents itself. This bag enables me to do that. It completely protects the equipment from the elements and any impact. Easy access to camera at all times, which is important to me. The only thing i don't like about it is that it can be pretty heavy when all of the equipment is in bag.
Summary: I use this bag to carry: --Nikon D90, usually with a 16-85mm lens attached, in the camera section. I could easily carry a much bigger camera here, though I can't really comment on a battery grip. --70-300mm lens (with hood on backward) packed horizontally in the bottom section.. --35mm prime lens in the right middle, opposite the camera. I pack the 16-85mm here (with hood) if I have the 35mm on the camera.
Summary: After surfing the web and reading several reviews I decided this was the camera backpack that fit my needs. I have two cameras, Canon EOS Rebel and Canon XTi. I mount a 100-400mm lens on the XTi and a 17-40mm on the EOS. I rarely take my lens off the camera. When I'm hiking around in wilderness I don't want to wrestle with a camera bag to grab a camera. The padded straps are well made and fully loaded this bag easily swings around for access to the side opening.
Summary: I bought this for airport security and am so happy. No more having to dig all my camera equipment out of a carry on or other backpack when they say please take out your camera equipment. Security can just unzip the side and can see everything. I just wish the top space was a little bigger for personal items. But when we get to our destination we put what camera equipment we don't need for the day in the safe and use the extra space in the camera part for more storage.
Summary: Great camera bag, period. Other bags state, "can fit 3 lenses"... and they can, but not safely or very well. Lenses are where your money's at w/ a camera, they better be well protected! The biggest feature of this bag though, it's easy to get to your most prized procession, your camera. Other backback bags, in a hurry, you'd have to take the bag off your back, put it on the ground, and get your camera out... by this time, you may have missed the big picture.
Summary: This is a great camera pack. Plenty of space, well laid out. The quick access feature is handy. To be fair, I am a pretty casual photographer, but I can't find a single negative. My daughter has the same pack and loves it.

Summary: I got this bag for my Canon 50D with a 24-70mm F/2.8 lens. VERDICT: Not worth the time or money. Tamrac images are deceiving. This bag will not fit a DSLr with its corresponding battery grip attached, nor will it fit a professional-size slr lens (like the L-series from Canon). It will neither fit a professional-size lens attached to the DSLR body, nor inside of any of the bag's small compartments.
