Its OK

  • Excerpt: Nothing special. Looks cheap. Not many options for attaching to a bag. It works, just doesn't thrill me.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight

Works as it should

  • Excerpt: What can I say? It's a good, Nikon case. Built well, not too bulky. It's not a Pelican case, but it will help protect your strobe, and it provides some good features like a belt loop and some pockets. I'll be saying the exact same thing when I review my SS800 case.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Strong Construction

great extra storage for radio remotes

27 November 2013
  • Excerpt: I bought this not to use Nikon strobes but rather Chinese manual flash units. the extra pocket on the bottom is perfect for a small set of radio remotes so that they remain with the flash and have some measure of protection when traveling. This case is absolutely perfect for this purpose!!!
  • Pros: Extra Pocket, Well Padded

Works great with my Nikon SB-910

Cos, B&H Photo
4 September 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought the SS-900 case to use with my SB-910 speedlight. The original case that comes with the SB-910 is to large to toss into my camera backpack so I picked up the SS-910. The speedlight and dome fit perfect in the case and I can store the speedlight in my camera backpack, shoulder bag, or suitcase without worrying about the speedlight getting damaged.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Best case scenario

15 September 2011
  • Excerpt: I bought this to carry an inexpensive flash becasue I was confident that it would be big enough and the zippered bottom case carries extra batteries and the side pockets hold gels. I couldn't find another case that had all those things. It cost 3/5 the price of the flash.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Can't stand the test of continuous use.

Chris the Wedding Photographer, B&H Photo
27 July 2010
  • Excerpt: I own 2 of these from owning 2 SB900s that I bought. I shoot mainly weddings and use the case to store my SB900 on my belt. The problems with this case is that it is made of sub-par material. The seems far apart and the internal cardboard show after about 6 months of use for weddings. In contrast the casing for the SB800 is still going strong after 3 years of use!
  • Pros: Lightweight
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Sub-par Construction

Perfect if you bought a Metz AF-48

Bodyboarder, B&H Photo
1 February 2010
  • Excerpt: I purchased a Metz AF-48 earlier and had a hard time finding a case. This product was the perfect fit. With a Omni Bounce attached it's just the right length also the small compartment on the bottom can store extra batteries or the Omni Bounce and 4AA batteries when not in use.
  • Pros: Compact, Durable, Good Protection, Lightweight
