Excerpt: How useful this is to you, definitely depends if you truly need it or not. I only use it on one of my bags that lacks an insert divider, and adding an insert makes the fit into the bag too tight to fit. So I use this lens case to keep 2 lenses from scratching one another on the same spot.
Excerpt: I use the lens case to keep my Zeiss glass from scuffing when stored in a dry box. My other glass is Nikon so it was easy to find the right size case by sticking the Zeiss glass in other Nikon cases until I found the best fit. A heavy wool sock would have done this job because the lens case is no more protection than that. So I guess I'm paying for appearance. For serious protection in the field or when traveling, this lens case is not adequate.
Excerpt: Recently purchased the Nikon 7100 kit that included the 18-140 lens. Surprisingly it did not come with a lens case. Even though this is my most used lens wanted to be able to store it protected in my camera bag as I planned to get a new prime lens. Works just like the cover for my 300mm zoom. Like the hard bottom that I think would add protection to the front of the lens.
Excerpt: I like having these lens pouches for all the lenses I've picked up. It keeps the crud out and keeps them dust free while giving at least a small amount of protection to the lens AND fits easily into my camera bag which does the rest.
Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Strong Construction
