Excerpt: I wanted a case that would fit in a back pack, not take up too much space, protect the camera from nicks, and provide ready access to the camera. This case does all of that. The Nikon D5100 fits in perfectly, there are no extra straps. It might not save a camera from a fall but that is not what I wanted. This case is perfect for my needs.
Excerpt: I carry my Nikon D3100 camera on a strap attached to a tripod mounting plate. I can leave both the strap and mounting plate in place and still have the camera and it's kit 18-55mm lens protected in this case.
Excerpt: This is a great case and will provide good protection from the everyday bumps and bangs that a camera gets when traveling .I use it in conjunction with a opto harness to protect it when riding my Motorcycle . The camera is readily accessible , instead of storing in a case in the saddlebags .Love it!
Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Stylish, Well Padded
Summary: I'm very pleased with this case. It's exactly what I was looking for to carry my camera inside of a backpack while traveling, or to protect the camera while hiking. It fits my D60 body + 18-70mm lens, as well as the body + my 70-200mm lens. It's a little tight with the longer lens, but I can still squeeze the velcro closed. And I believe I got a good deal on Buy.com. I found this same case elsewhere for $90+.
