Summary: I bought this case with the hope that it has some compartment for additional accessories. Unfortunately, it is as small as it permits to slide your camera (with the lens) into it. There is no free room for anything else left. I would recommend to look for a bag instead.
Summary: This is a great case for lightweight protection. I use it for my Nikon D90 and it fits perfectly. As a pretty thin, non-hard case, it doesn't offer a ton of protection; you still have to be careful while handling the camera in the case. But, it's perfect for stuffing your camera into a purse or backpack, as it will protect the camera from dust and scratches without adding much weight or bulk.
Summary: This case worked great for me on my new D80 taking pictures in NYC. It has a nice strap that keeps it attached to the camera strap, so you don't have to find a place to put it down when you're snapping photos. Highly recommend.
Summary: I got the CF-D80 Semi-Soft Case when I bought my Nikon D90 and 18-200 mm lens. The 18-200 mm lens is a bit larger than the kit lens but still fits nicely in the case. Also, you can leave on the lens shade on as long as you reverse it before you store it in the case. The camera/lens slides in and out nicely. This case differs from the old 35 mm film camera "ever-ready" cases in that it does not attach to your camera.
