Amaaaaaazing!

  • Summary: This bag is perfect! I bought this bag for a trip to Africa and it served me wonderfully! I see that others have felt that some of the areas are hard to access, but that was never a problem for me. If you need to get at your camera fast then you should probably think about a fanny pack or some sort, but compared to other backpacks or shoulder bags this one is by far the best!
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good compartments, Great for camera storage, Lots of room, Not too heavy
  • Cons: MacPro 17inch doesn't fit

  • Summary: I have a Nikon D200 camera and couple of lens. I looked for a bag not only contains and protects my stuffs but needs to look fashionable. The NG-5162 is perfect for hiking or going outdoor to take photograph. It fits for my camera and 3 lens. Moreover I can store many of accessories to support my photographing. I haven't seen any problem with this bag until now. I'm very glad to enjoy it so far.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easy to use, Fashionable

Good Basic Pack

Truculent, B&H Photo
6 January 2009
  • Summary: I purchased this pack for a week trip to Ecuador and it performed well. I was able to carry my Nikon D80 w/ 50mm lens mounted, 80-200mm, 18-70mm, and 105mm lenses. Also packed sb-600 speedlight, assorted SD cards, extra battery, camera manual, and lens hoods. Still had the upper compartment to fill! Also like the material as a departure from rip-stop nylon types. The only knock I have is the snap enclosures for the upper compartment.
  • Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality, unique look

High-tech freak "in the fields".

  • Summary: Brilliant bag if you know what for you are using it. I can't imagine how to go shooting street life or, e.g., wedding with it - you have to put backpack off to get any lens/accessory item. But if you have a 4-day trip to other city, or you are going for a bike-ride, picnic etc, or just go to your office - it's an ideal way to handle photo stuff, laptop, raincoat and lunch with you.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Lightweight, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Hard To Access Equipment, Not enough small pockets

  • Summary: I just returned from a week long trip to Belize, which I purchased this pack specifically for. The size was perfect. It fits my 1Ds Mark III and an attached Sigma 150mm Macro, a powershot G7 (in underwater housing), Canon MT-24EX Macro Flash, and batteries, cards, water, food, etc. It also has a very rigid and rugged design that is quite comfortable.

Great All rounder

JR Fiera, B&H Photo
21 July 2008
  • Summary: I have found this bag to be one of the best bags I've ever tried, I'm a beginner in hiking and needed a bag that I can use for short or long trips that I can feel comfortable with and the NG-5162 gives you exactly that, it's ergonomally perfect while I was carrying lots of camera gear, clothing, water and tripod and laptop, the way I see it is that if it's good enough for National Geo photographers by the way it was design then it's perfect from beginners to pro to use...
