Massive internal size + room for laptop!

16 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Hi. I wanted the biggest bag I could carry whilst still ensuring I could take it in the aircraft cabin with me. With the increasing scrutiny of your cabin baggage by airlines, it has become more important to understand the limits of your hand luggage, especially when you consider that your precious camera equipment may be thrown into the hold along with other over-sized baggage!
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Hard To Access Equipment

Verte 300 AW Great product

  • Excerpt: Just went to Costa Rica with this. loaded it up with 23lbs of camera gear, a spotting scope and tripod. It was comfortable to carry. Good compartment configuration. The best feature was the adjustability of the attachment points, they slide up and down. Only negative (very Minor) was that I had to remove eyepiece from 20-60 scope to fit into the case with the rest of gear.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Had To Disassemble Scope

Almost perfect

23 February 2014
  • Excerpt: This bag will work out ok for what I need it for, I brought it to store my cameras and lenses so that when Im out shooting I can grab just what I need to place in a smaller bag to move around without all the extra weight. The one problem is that it isn't deep enought. With my L-Bracket , the camera extents a full inch past the depth of the bag. Which means I have to be careful how I store equipment in other areas.
  • Cons: Not Deep Enough, Too Small

Big and Comfortable

2 April 2013
  • Excerpt: I am a serious amateur shooter that shoots landscapes, wildlife and macro. I carry all my gear except for a Sigma 120-300 2.8 in this bag. 2 bodies w/lenses, 1 gripped, 3 extra lenses, 2 teleconverters, ext tubes, flash and cables, with room left over. I used a large Tenba backpack for about 8 years, which I outgrew.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

Qualified to rate this Product

Savant, B&H Photo
28 October 2012
  • Excerpt: It is my belief that I am particularly qualified to rate this product, I have worn out five of these bags. All of you lightweights who use such a product, only use it every once and a while. Since 2007 I have worn one on my back full of equipment every day, If I put my pants on in the morning some time latter I hoist the back pack up and strap it on and leave my apartment for the day, I average fifteen kilometers a day with one of these Vertex 300 AV Backpacks on my...

False dimensions

droops, B&H Photo
24 August 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought this bag over the Tamrac ones because of the depth, the comprable tamracs are 6.25" deep while this claims 6.5" deep. After receiving the bag and measuring it, only at the top of the main compartment is it 6.5" deep. At the bottom of the bag its is as shallow as 5" : ( pretty disappointed about it, since had the bag been 6.5" deep the whole way I could fit more of gear in there. Also the water resistant zippers are peeling already (the rubber).
