Great Pack

BrianG, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I was able to take this pack with me as a carry on with no issues to Hawaii on American Airlines. We took this pack on multiple day trips and some hikes. We are very pleased with this pack. I would recomend this to anyone looking for a good midsize bag you can carry. The only downside is the weight but with the extra padding it is worth it.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Excerpt: I have tried multiple camera packs but this is the best. It is a little heavier than I anticipated but sits well on hips and shoulders. My camera and lenses are well protected with all of the padding. Laptop fits easily and is easy to remove.

Vertex 200 AW Backpack- A real workhorse

  • Excerpt: This case is very well built and thought out accessory. The inside is very configurable and has plenty of room in the laptop sleeve. The filter and memory slots are plentiful. The zippers are well sealed against splashes. The only downside is that it is BIG. It is great for going out on a shoot with everything you might need but is definitely bulky and over kill for casual work.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Heavy

Excellent and Versatile

  • Excerpt: I bought this bag to replace a Lowepro bag that I had outgrown. With the purchase of a new "Supertelephoto lens" (15 - 500mm), I needed a larger bag. This bag has definitely met my needs. I can carry my camera (Canon 70D), the kit lens, a 300mm zoom, the new 150 - 500mm zoom, my laptop, and all of my ancillary gear without a problem. Although the bag also allows the transport of a tripod, I have not yet tried that.

  • Excerpt: Lots of small pockets, different shapes and sizes, clearly designed by photographers. Easy access to pouches for memory cars, filters, batteries, etc. Main compartment very well protected, strong padding, adjustable to fit pretty much anything you have, and also designed like a real backpack, with all of the adjustments necessary to make a long trek comfortable. Outstanding piece of equipment if you are going to do any hiking.

  • Excerpt: I found a spot for everything I normally carry to a shoot and its a relief to be able to carry one bag rather than several. I really like the built in rain cover. I have not actually hiked with the bag, but It seems that it has all the features that would make it a comfortable pack.
