Better than the old version (200 AW)

Tony, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I had the old 200 AW and this new version shows significant improvements - more room and can hold a tripod. Depending on what lenses you have, it may not fit additional 3-4 lens as advertised.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Not Enough Pockets

LowePro Slingshot 202 AW

Allex, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I've got a largish DSLR with a medium and a short zoom. The lenses are just a bit too long for the 102 AW. The zippers didn't close all the way. I got the next size bigger, the 202, and all is well again.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Strong Construction, Well Padded

I Bigger than expected

Rds, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: The pack is bigger than expected, more bulky, on my 5'3" frame. I haven't decided if I'm keeping it yet. It is very well constructed. Great padding, I frequently wear a backpack, and found the sling a little awkward to put on. With practice I'm sure it would be better.
  • Pros: Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Cumbersome

Feel-Safe, Easy Access Bag

Photom, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: An excellent, feel-safe, easy access bag which allows me direct access to my camera with either a short or medium telephoto lens attached. I wanted to be able to access and store either configuration without having to change lenses.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Finally

  • Excerpt: This is the first Sling Bag to make me dump my Osprey sling bag (not a camera bag). Within a day to a week, every other Sling Bag that I've purchased I returned to the Osprey, except this one. I pack a Nikon D800 with a 24-70 2.8 lens. Sometime, I'll pack an extra 105 macro lens.
  • Pros: Strong Construction, Well Padded

SlingShot 202 AW -- the Goldilocks bag

Silver Fox, B&H Photo
29 June 2015
  • Excerpt: Not too big, not too small; it's just right. I really like Lowepro. Their handling of a problem with my first SlingShot 101 AW, years ago, resulted in my loyalty. Over time, that model has become too small for me. I turned to a Lowepro Nova 200 AW bag.

Lots of storage

Doug, B&H Photo
19 June 2015
  • Excerpt: There are a lot of zipper pockets and compartments in this bag. I almost wish it came with an instruction book explaining the intent of each pocket (some are lebeled, but others are not).
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Well Padded
