A return to a classic bag, better colors

Cerridwen the LionfishMer, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I use this bag for my Nikon D800e body, combined with several prime and zoom lenses. The thins that are great about this bag is that is extremely durable. It also is very easy to customize the fit, ensuring better posture as you are hiking out to remote shoots. The things that aren't so great about the bag is that the hydration bladder is not included in the bag kit, nor are specifications given regarding 3-party options.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Lack Of Room For Filters, Small Inner Pockets, Too Many Tripod Mounts

What a pack

  • Excerpt: Very roomy backpack. I went from a sling pack to this and everything fits. Even with every thing in it the back pack is a lot more comfortable to wear. The zipper is harder to get to and open it up with the top pack installed.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy
  • Cons: Hard To Access Equipment

Ehall, B&H Photo
23 December 2012
  • Excerpt: Am able to comfortably haul: - Canon 400mm 2.8L - Canon EOS 1D MkIV body - Canon EOS 7D body - Leica M9 body - Canon 70-200 2.8L - Leica 35mm Summilux ASPH - Leica 24mm Summarit ASPH I am about 5' 11" and felt that it could ride a little higher despite having the back adjusted as high as possible. Use of rain cover not possible if tripod attached. The center tripod mount is a bit floppy because of the laptop pocket.
  • Pros: Nice Functional Design, Roomy For Carry-on Size

Worth the price

  • Excerpt: The only reason it doesnt get five stars is because I wish there were a pocket for folders and a notebook or two. Besides that, it is definitely one of the best bags ever. Weight distribution is perfect.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

Airline Carry on Size

HD, B&H Photo
7 August 2011
  • Excerpt: Allot of the information I have seen is this can be used as a Carry On on most Airlines. I ordered this thinking it would meet the size required. It is larger than you can put in the carry on holder. I am sure you could carry it on though, most people bring bags even larger and bend the rules. But would you want to take the chance of having to gate check $20K worth of your favorite camera gear? Other than that the bag is adequate.

Action Sports Filmmaker's Go-To Bag

Zach, B&H Photo
31 July 2011
  • Excerpt: I am a professional journalist and action sports photographer/videographer. This bag gives me the room, versatility, and support needed to get gear out into the backcountry and do my job. In addition to providing ample space for various camera equipment configurations, the bag has enough external features for me to attach skis, shovel and avalanche probe or climbing gear to the frame. It also has a build-in pouch to accommodate a camelbak.

Great Camera Back Pack!

Jeff the Bird Man, B&H Photo
5 April 2011
  • Excerpt: I mostly photograph birds in the wild. This bag will hold my Ef300mm f/2.8 IS USM (with hood extended) and 40D body attached with a little tightness, but it fits. It has a ton of useful storage. The hydration pack compartment is sized perfectly for an Osprey 70 ounce bladder. I haul a Manfrotto aluminum tripod and a Jobu Pro gimbal head in the center tripod compartment. It barely fits and is a little wobbly, but it carries OK. The laptop jacket does fit my Toshiba 15.6".

great backpack

  • Excerpt: I use this bag on trips. I took it to arizona last week. It was a little big for carry-on with the airlines i travelled with but it did fit. Fits a Lot of gear which is great because I plan on buying more equipment. I fully loaded it with other stuff just for the airplane, so it was heavy for the trip but the design and how the weight is distributed is fantastic. For being as heavy as it was....it wasn't too bad. it is a big bag!
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
