But if your looking for the ultimate photography backpack look no further this is the one.

Super Backpack - 5 Stars

JC, B&H Photo
17 August 2014
  • Excerpt: I had a CompuRoverAW that was my daily companion for five years and bought the Pro Trekker 400 AW to replace it. It is a phenomenal backpack -thank God I did not listen to the critics who said it is too large, the zippers are too hard to use and it cannot accommodate a normal size laptop. It is a large backpack - but has easily fits in the overhead on all 4 flights I have taken since I got it. It is very well padded - which given my busy travel schedule is a necessity.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction

Overkill....and worth it.

  • Excerpt: Fantastic. Over engineered. Built like a tank and they thought of everything. Heavy in hand but not on the back. Wish it had more outside pockets instead of 3 tripod holders. Otherwise, best bag ever for storing almost everything.

Big and sturdy bag

Swindy, B&H Photo
28 July 2014
  • Excerpt: I have had this bag several years, but I'm just now writing a review. It has held up very well through moderate to heavy use. It easily holds 2 DSLR's, my 100-400 Canon zoom and several other lenses and accessories. I rarely use the tripod holder and never found it very comfortable to use as the tripod sits very high and catches on things as I hike, but I think that is the case in most all bags.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Heavy

A return to a classic bag, better colors

  • Excerpt: I use this bag for my Nikon D800e body, combined with several prime and zoom lenses. The thins that are great about this bag is that is extremely durable. It also is very easy to customize the fit, ensuring better posture as you are hiking out to remote shoots. The things that aren't so great about the bag is that the hydration bladder is not included in the bag kit, nor are specifications given regarding 3-party options.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Lack Of Room For Filters, Small Inner Pockets, Too Many Tripod Mounts

Incredible!

Joan DC, B&H Photo
3 June 2014
  • Excerpt: I needed a backpack that would hold 2 DSLRs with long zoom lenses attached (Nikon D800 with the 28-300mm and the D300 with the 18-200mm), plus 2 SB800 flash units, one or two Quantum battery packs, a charger for each camera and the Quantum, a dozen AA batteries, the D800 manual, CD and SD cards, a few other necessary accoutrements, a paperback book (for waiting around) -- and be TSA carryon compatible. I also needed the backpack to be comfortable.

Pro Trekker 400 AW Backpack

gag5, B&H Photo
27 April 2014
  • Excerpt: This is a VERY LARGE backpack, much larger than it appears in the accompanying photos. It can accommodate a lot of gear, but be aware that it is VERY LARGE. Not sure if it will fit in all overhead storage compartments on all airlines especially the smaller regional carriers.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction, Very Large
  • Cons: Heavy, Very large
