Wish it were a tiny bit wider

  • Excerpt: This pack is everything I was hoping for, except it's just a tiny bit too small for my walk-around kit. Gripped DSLR is pretty much a no-go-- that's OK. Even a 6D +70-300L + Blackrapid (and a not-attached 17-40L) BARELY fits, in such a way that it takes a lot of time and care to perfectly pack the strap in order to zip up the camera compartment. Just another inch and it would have been perfect! Otherwise it is a perfect combination day pack/hydration pack/camera bag.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment
  • Cons: Too Small

Great Backpack

  • Excerpt: Really like this backpack, it fits my 5d mark iii with no problem but there isn't much room for anything else in the camera compartment. I plan to put my 70-200 2.8 in the upper storage part in its own padded case and I think it will work out fine. I also will strap my tripod to the outside somehow. Really like the quality and look of the backpack and look forward to using it on our trip to Alaska! There are many adjustments which you can customize to fit your body.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment
  • Cons: Camera Storage Is Small, Hard To Fit Large Lens

lots of room for storage

  • Excerpt: I purchased the back to use while I road my bike, thinking that it would be small and hold just the basics I needed for the on the go photo ops. However the bag is much bigger than I thought but not in the areas that need to be bigger. My camera a Canon 60D with battery pack does not fit in this bag. However the top of the bag has ample storage room which does come in handy.Overall I am satisfied with the bag, I would recommend this bag for the photographer on the go.

Fine Sport Pack

24 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Fits nice in the middle of the back. Not top heavy so easy to move around with a full pack. Bigger than the 100 AW but still not capable of carrying, say, a 100-400 attached to a body easily. I carry this type of lens in the top. Well made and should handle wear & tear. Overall glad I went with this bigger 200 AW pack as there is enough room to carry other trail type items. Haven't tried it yet on a bicycle but imagine it would be ideal.

Quick, Comfortable, Convenient

  • Excerpt: This is a fantastic daypack and camerabag. I spent a long time looking for a good pack to purchase for day excursions into the woods or on mountain bike rides... anywhere. The camera is easily accessible at all times from the side, and there's enough room in the top portion to pack anything you would need for the day. I'm actually considering packing it with clothing and basic supplies for a trip to Vietnam.

Small camera compartment

Yvonne, B&H Photo
1 April 2014
  • Excerpt: This bag will work great for long family hikes with lots of room for snacks and or extra clothes. It fits my Nikon D7000 with kit lens perfectly. It has room for one more lens in the padded camera compartment. It has lots of ways to hang a tripod on. However it will not fit a battery grip on the camera. It will also not fit a large telephoto lens. Great starter bag at a great price but easily outgrown.

Love this bag!

  • Excerpt: I bought this bag because I was going on a 5-day guided hike, walking up to 13.5 miles in a single day. It worked really well for me, and I did not notice any discomfort while on the hike. For reference, I am 5'1 and 95 pounds, and the pack fit me very comfortably. (I've noticed that there are other reviewers who are at least 6' who are pleased with this pack as well, so I guess it really can be used by anyone.) There was enough space for me to fit everything I needed.

Pretty good small bag

VelvetVoices, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Light, good storage for your extras but the camera compartment is small. 15-inch Macbook pro won't fit in the back water compartment but you could probably fit a 13-inch. Quality of the straps / waist belt is not made for day trip hikes, few hours tops... The backpack will last me one to two sessions max. Recommend it if your packing light (which I plan on doing this summer) but don't recommend for long hikes.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment
  • Cons: Need More Color Options, Pricey, Too Small
