Lowepro Photo Runner review by nrshapiro

  • Summary: This is a very good bag if you want to travel light. It is for traveling with some of your equipment but not all (unless you have very little). I like to keep my "kit" small. I carry a Canon Rebel XT with EF-S 10-22 mounted, a Canon 70-300 IS DO (a compact lens), and the Sigma 18-125 in the bag. It's very tight when you do this. I have just enough room in the main compartment for a Cokin wide angle (slim) filter holder and four cokin filters in a soft case.
  • Pros: Small, well padded
  • Cons: Small

  • Summary: I love this bag for hikes and when I just want to bring a limited kit. I don't have any complaints about the design, and the constuction quality is excellent. It will fit nicely a D200 or same sized body, two lenses, and a flash unit, granola bar, or small water bottle. Great bag.
  • Pros: comfort, design
  • Cons: I love this bag for hikes and when I just want to bring a limited kit. I don't have any complaints about the design, and the constuction quality is excellent. It will fit nicely a D200 or same sized body, two lenses, and a flash unit, granola bar, or small water bottle. Great bag.

  • Summary: This bag seems like the best design out there and it almost is. The problem is that the weight of the camera puts a lot of stress on the zipper, esp. if you use the handle to pick it up when it isn't completely secured. Thus, after about two years of use the zipper broke. If you keep the bag secure using the straps that wrap around the bag, it should last. I wish there were more bags like this.
  • Pros: Easy to access camera, shoulder strap & belt loop is great for hiking.
  • Cons: Zipper is flawed, okay size but a touch small for a lot of people
