Lens Case appears to be adequate for my purposes.

Excerpt: My purpose is to protect the lens for which I purchased this case. It appears to do as it purports to do. It is convenient to carry. Whether it will fit inside the Lowepro Backpack which contains my Camera and Spotting Scope remains to be seen; however that product is so good on its own that I doubt...
Excerpt: I needed a case for my new lens and this was the only one large enough for it to fit in. After reading other reviews, I knew this was the one for me. It's awesome. No more worrying about my lens.
Pros: Comfortable Strap, Durable, Good Protection, Lightweight
Excerpt: Very sturdy case. Holds my Tamron 150-600mm nice and snug. Comparable to the Ape Case ACPROLC18, I like the extra room in the Ape Case and its shoulder strap. Lowepro has extra internal storage for accessories. Take your pick. Both good.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Good Protection, Lightweight
Excerpt: I bought this case specifically to put my Tamron 150-600mm lens in. I could not more pleased, it fits like a glove and protects as expected. It is still large and would be a lot to carry on a all day walk but for transporting the lens in a vehicle it is ideal.
Excerpt: Works great for the Tamron 150-600 f/5-6.3. The hand-strap is a very nice convenience. I would prefer a slightly heavier hand- and shoulder-straps, but these are probably sturdy enough. The adjustable shoulder-strap attachments are extremely grippy, just as one wants with a heavy lens inside.
