Holds what it says it will, barely. . .

  • Excerpt: The Lowepro Flipside Sport 10L does exactly what it says it will do, but not much more. The bag will hold my Canon 70D with the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 HSM OS lens attached. I have two other lenses in the bag and the battery charger. The area for the tripod fits a monopod nicely, but I can't imagine it holding a decent sized tripod at all. If you are wanting to put anything else in this bag other than what I have mentioned, you need to look elsewhere.

Good backpack for both young and old!

  • Excerpt: I purchased this backpack to hold only what I regularly take with me and it works well. I have a D7100, 35mm, 60 mm Micro, 70-300 VR FX and 16-85mm in this pack along with a monopod or small tripod. I could possibly fit a very small flash if needed. I use the hydration pocket for a couple of filters and a few small items. This is my second Flipside Sport the other being the 15L version. [That pack is a little too large and I tend to pack more than I should.

Great bag for short jaunts!

  • Excerpt: I bought this for mountain bike riding. It fits the perfect amount of camera gear for what I needed. It could use one or two quick zippered pockets somewhere on the outside besides the hydration area. I wish the inner velcro walls went completely around the inside. I'd like to have the camera at the bottom of the pack. Good suggestion for a 1-Liter hydration bladder for this?

Comfortable and lightweight

  • Excerpt: Since it's designed for a modest amount of equipment, it can't get too heavy. I found it very comfortable and easy to use. The hydration pack has to be small too but it was perfect for my needs. I wish it had an external pouch of some kind but I am very happy with it.

  • Excerpt: Really nice bag for afternoon outings when you don't want to carry a big bag with a lot of gear. Well made and quite comfortable. Just enough storage for my needs.

Really confortable bag

  • Excerpt: Great bag, I carried it around a full bag for 4 days on a job, and it's really great and comfortable. I guess I'll have to get a water pouch as there are no side pocket to carry a water bottle. I also have to take out my Canon 5D battery grip to fit the camera (with a 24-70 lens mounted) - otherwise it's too thick to close the bag. I typically carry my camera on my shoulder so it doesn't bug me.

Excellent Backpack

Macho, Adorama
29 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Light and can carry just as advertized a zoom 70-200 lens along with 2 other lens or a teleconverter. Room for water reservoir (recommend versus bottle, which tend to squeeze out), hiking sticks, and camera bipod. Just everything one needs for outdoor shooting. Has chest and waist straps. Used this on 2 hikes and hardly noticed the backpack and weight. Has weatherproof lining inside too. Highly recommended for outdoors.

Great Photo Bag -- Not a backpack

VTPyzon, B&H Photo
3 December 2013
  • Excerpt: This is a great photo bag for the photog on the go -- just don't expect it to be a *backpack*. I would be surprised if you could really carry a water bladder in this thing (I wouldn't ...) So it's small. Got it? But really that is an *advantage* (ever try to get on a ski lift with a huge pack? Or bike? Or ... [insert action sport here]).
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Small size, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Too Small
