Lowepro 400 AW backpack

Craig C, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Bought this to carry a Tamron 150-600 lens along with a body plus two more lenses. It is well built and gives you multiple internal configurations by using the Velcro attached divider system. I have no problem swinging the bag around with it attached to my waist to access my gear.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Gear Security, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Laptop Pocket

Perfect size and shape for me.

  • Excerpt: I replaced an over-shoulder bag that was too uncomfortable with heavy lenses in it. When I switched to an FX camera body that bag was also too small. The 400AW holds an 810 Nikon easily and an assortment of large lenses as well.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Good Capacity, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Flip Feature Isn't Great

I am very satisfied with the design, size, padding, versatility, quality materials, and creative touches such as the weather proof covering and the place to attach a tripod.

Comfort, Size, Abilities...

  • Excerpt: Comfort: surprisingly so. Even while packed full of gear the waist strap is padded and allows backpack to rest more on hips and not your back alone. The strap attaching across the chest is stretchy which allows you to take big breaths without feeling constricted.
