  • Excerpt: The insides are adjustable and the inside is well padded. Though the outer shell is not completely hard, it is sturdy and firm. I used it on a recent trip with my 150-500 mounted on a camera body, along with another camera and smaller lens.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

  • Excerpt: I photograph in cities and public places so I love having my equipment on me with the main zippered part against my back. I feel very secure carrying my equipment. Love that I don't have to take it off to access the gear either - love the "swivel" action!
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy, Strong Construction

Good pack but design omission

  • Excerpt: I plan to put this pack to its first use during a trip to Maui. One requirement was the pack needed to be able to hold a full-sized tripod. This pack can hold such a tripod but the tripod will flop around even if secured with the strap that is located on the back of the backpack.

  • Excerpt: Bought this to carry a Tamron 150-600 lens along with a body plus two more lenses. It is well built and gives you multiple internal configurations by using the Velcro attached divider system. I have no problem swinging the bag around with it attached to my waist to access my gear.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Gear Security, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Laptop Pocket

Perfect size and shape for me.

31 May 2015
  • Excerpt: I replaced an over-shoulder bag that was too uncomfortable with heavy lenses in it. When I switched to an FX camera body that bag was also too small. The 400AW holds an 810 Nikon easily and an assortment of large lenses as well.
  • Pros: Adjustable Harness, Comfortable, Good Capacity, Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Flip Feature Isn't Great
