Nice bag

  • Excerpt: I had been using and older and now discontinued LowePro Mini Treckker to carry my gear when flying, around town etc. Needed to replace and settled on the Flipside 400. Nice bag, roughly simmilar to the Mini Treckker in size. Overall very nice. Not going to give it 5 stars because from a suspension standpoint these LowePro bags do not allow enough customization to allow form fitting comfort for long hikes etc.
  • Pros: Compact, Durable

Be careful what you wish for.

  • Excerpt: This camera pack is well made and has space for one or two camera bodies plus several lenses, as advertised. It is quite comfortable for the weight it might carry. But be very careful about just how large your pack is because it can get quite heavy when filled, especially after several miles in the mountains. The inside zipper access to the main compartment, although perhaps secure in a crowded subway, is very inconvenient otherwise.
  • Pros: Comfortable Design, Durable, Lots Of Space
  • Cons: Easy To Overload, Very Awkward Access

In my bag I carry a Nikon dslr, an 18-200mm zoom, a 50-500mm zoom, an 85mm for macro, a fisheye, an extra consumer 50x zoom water resistant camera, a flash unit and a strobe light intensifier for long range flash of wildlife subjects and a monopod. They all fit neatly.

  • Excerpt: Great backpack !!. Great price from B&H and faster shipping ever (Next day shipping for free ). I wear this backpack for 5 days straight when on vacation to carry all my photo and video equipment and I can say that is one of the more comfortable backpack I ever had. I love the easy access to the equipment when hanging from the waist strap and the security that this back offers since your equipment access is agains your back.

  • Excerpt: Have owned quite a few bags then backpacks then ultimately a LowePro Flipside 300. Had to buy another lens and outgrew the 300 so bought the 400. Delighted with it. Great build quality. Neat weather shield built in. Super flexible interior configuration to easily accomodate camera body and three lenses (24-70, 70-200 & 400mm) plus flash plus extender and all the accessories. Very comfortable to wear placing the load nicely on the hips when properly adjusted.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy to Use, Rugged, Secure

Well Padded Comfortable Pack

Judi, B&H Photo
29 June 2014
  • Excerpt: I found this pack, so far, very comfortable to wear. Nicely padded in the lower back area, with generous strap lengths making it easy to adjust. Not sure yet if I like the zip in the back of the pack when using out in the field, but it will prevent anyone from stealing anything while I have it on. Nice amount of space inside to adjust the spaces to the sizes I need. I think the price was very fair as well.

Still my favorite. One small beef.

  • Excerpt: I've had this bag for several years. Only one complaint. The chest strap broke on the first one. Lowepro replaced the bag. But then it broke on the replacement and I lost it. I have tried other bags, and a different Lowepro that is similar to this model. This one is still the most comfortable. I just wish the company would reinforce to provide for a sturdier chest strap.
  • Pros: Comfortable For Hiking, Easy access, Flexible Compartments, Holds A Lot Of Gear
  • Cons: Chest Strap Weak Breaks

Great choice - love this backpack!

  • Excerpt: This bag is sturdy, comfortable and distributes weight nicely. It has plenty of extra room after packing in D5200 body, attached 55-200mm and 2 additional lenses, charger, cords, flash, cleaning kit, filters and other must haves. Pockets in the outside flap are great for keeping pens and notebook handy. I fit everything in this bag comfortably with room to spare and love the slip and flip for access to equipment.
  • Pros: Comfortable Design, Easy to Use, Good protection, Roomy
  • Cons: Haven't Found One Yet
