Plenty of Space

Tom, B&H Photo
2 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I intend to use it when trekking or traveling abroad. I like the compartment sizes. I like the side access to the camera, meaning I do not have to open the entire back flap, I also like the top storage area. I wish it had more internal zippered pockets for storing stuff such as SD cards.
  • Pros: Easily Accessible Equipment, Roomy

Zipper Unravel on a Travel gig, very bad

trigger finger, B&H Photo
4 July 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this bag for smaller professional travel gigs that requires I only bring a couple lenses and one camera body. I loved the design originally, it was smart and versatile in access and formatting it's interior space to my spatial needs. It all went wrong when I was on a trip to LA and SD for 4 different gigs in 3 days..!! The bags main zipper broke and unraveled rendering the bags main compartment useless and unusable, compromising it's whole design.

Mixed review

  • Excerpt: I thought the design was clever and liked the side access, but the bag was so deep my camera moved around too much. The wide top compartment would be convenient for personal items, but also would prevent the bag from fitting under an airliner seat. I definitely could see some uses for this bag but I sent it back for one slimmer and sturdier.

Big and Boxy

SusieB Michigan, B&H Photo
16 November 2011
  • Excerpt: Nothing inherently wrong with the bag...just WAY too big for smaller people. If you're a taller person, dandy. If your an average 5'4" person, the bag is huge. If you need to haul that much gear, hire a mule : -) Went for the Bug 230 instead. Smaller profile, but less free space but better size (and fits well on planes).
  • Pros: Roomy, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Cumbersome, Giant

New Backpack

AJ Photography, B&H Photo
3 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Make no mistake this backpack is big but is very well built and has easy access. The front flap is also the perfect size for sliding in an Ipad as well. I use it when I go out and shoot with a smaller amount of gear so I can leave my roller at home. It also has an add on roller that I might get at some point.

Great Bag

Douglas, B&H Photo
1 August 2011
  • Excerpt: The reason I bought this bag was that I did not have enough room in my other camera bags for all of my equipment including my tripod...Now I do...In addition this bag is well laid out which allows me easy quick access at all times. As a backpack the bag fits nicely and conforms to my back which allows long hikes through rough terrain. Also I like the fact that the bag has been designed to fit a trolley for walking through airports and train stations.

Most Amazing Equipment Bag!

KAMI, B&H Photo
20 July 2011
  • Excerpt: This is the best equipment bag I have EVER had, I even sold all my other bags online because this bag conquered over them all. I'm a press/media photographer so I need to have all my equipment with me when I'm at an event. This bag holds my 2 cameras, 4 lenses (2 tele 2 wide), mac laptop, tripod, HD camcorder, and all the extras I take with me such as camera & lens cleaners, extra batteries, power adapters, camera straps, etc.. This is the best gear bag you can own!

  • Excerpt: The Owl-272 is just as advertised. Plenty of compartments for storage and is not too heavy like some other backpack-style camera bags. The laptop storage works great for air travel and will greatly enhance our "Go" capabilities.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Strong Construction
