F-832 Medium Photo Courier Bag (Black)

swisstrix, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I use this bag to carry a condensed group of gear for specific, varied tasks such as micro photos, video, music festivals etc. I can switch out equipment to suit each task. As such, it works well. Room for (at least) one DSLR, 2-3 lenses or equivalent flash etc. The bag is deep, so I've built cardboard boxes in the bottom of the inserts to carry over and under equipment. It has a tablet pocket under the front flap.
  • Pros: Adaptibe Interior, Compact, Durable, Open Interior, Useful Inserts, Well made
  • Cons: Luggage Carrier Attachmen, Luggage Carrier Strap, No Outside Pocket

Does exactly what it should

  • Excerpt: I got this bag to replace an old messenger bag i used to carry my laptop and some basic photo gear. though not specified- I assumed my 15" non SSD macbook pro will fit, and was right about it, though it dose not fit the laptop compartment. I slide it inside the main compartment. fits nicely and give me a better weight distribution, since the rather heavy unibody mac is now located close to my body.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Modular

Solid, comfortable bag

  • Excerpt: This is a great shoulder bag. It's a lot larger than I thought. You can carry a large dslr with a large zoom and your favorite prime lens. You could also carry your tablet and other accessories. It's very solid and like many other Domke bags. They're all great.

Great bag, could do with more pockets.

  • Excerpt: I was originally after the F-802 reporters satchel, however this bag was on sale for half the price of the F-802 with an insert. Overall the bag is very large, probably a bit bigger than I need. I use the bag as a work bag and have taken out the double compartment to store paperwork, lunch, and other general stuff. I keep a camera in the single compartment. The front pouch holds a diary, notebook and a few other odds and ends.
  • Pros: Comfortable Strap, Durable, Good Protection
  • Cons: Too Bulky

Awesome Bag

  • Excerpt: This bag is wonderful to take out for a stroll with your camera because it does not look like a camera bag. This also makes it good for travel because it does not advertise your expensive equipment that could be stollen by a desperate local. Further, the camera inserts can come out making for a great all around messenger bag. Overall, I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for an urban disguise bag.
  • Pros: Compact, Durable, Lightweight
  • Cons: Not Enough Pocket Room

Good bag (when on sale)

  • Excerpt: Inconspicuous- Flexibility to use as more than just a camera bag- All padding is removable and re-configurable- Canvas exterior; rugged and tough- Lots of space- Accommodates laptopCons: - Padding/inserts offer minimal protection- Front pocket could use bottom and side padding, especially if it holds a laptop- Velcro for main flap might be too minimal (easy to accidentally flip open or for thieves to get into; couple small buckles might be nice here)- Bag (with included...
  • Pros: Durable, Flexibility, Inconspicuous, Laptop Pouch, Spacious
  • Cons: Heavy, Heavy bulky, High Regular Price, Inadequate Protection, Not Very Water Resistant, Too Bulky, Uncomfortable Strap

Camera bag in disguise

  • Excerpt: Looks like a regular book bag, but inside carries the camera gear i need to get the job done. Makes carrying my street photographer gear real easy. Helps me fit in, more as a by-standard and less less of a photographer. Construction of this bag is awesome, very durable, plain and simple. It has has a padded camera lining which separates it from the bag itself.
  • Pros: Comfortable Strap, Compact, Durable, Good Protection, Lightweight
  • Cons: None

Great bag

  • Excerpt: Very spacious, with good padding. Another closure besides velco would be nice though. Also, a zipper would be nice for the "laptop" pocket, since I'm not putting a laptop in it, just small camera accessories.
  • Pros: Comfortable Strap, Good Protection

meant for stacking lenses

Max S., B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I got this bag to see if the extra depth could help me carry more stuff than my current bag. I was kind of disappointed. there is a lot of depth but if you aren't interested in double stacking lenses its not that useful. in addition whereas my current bag can be compartmentalized so that you have 4 slots from left to right, the way the inserts that come with this bag are designed you can only have 3.

Nice bag

  • Excerpt: Had the general idea of a new bag in mind when i saw this one on special. The almost 40 year old Nikon bag I've been using was getting worn and tight for a body and 3 lenses. I like the idea of a flexible bag that looks less like a camera bag than a general bag. The top load design works well, the computer slot is just right for an iPad and some extra stuff, and can fit body with lens attached, small and large zoom and a fixed lens plus a medium size strobe.
