Summary: The F-901 Compact was bought as a general purpose photographic pouch.Despite the title this is a big, airy, versatile pouch that can take stobe units, lenses and even small DSLR bodies. When teamed with the 720-200 mini insert or a protective wrap excellent protection is offered, although this cuts down on the capacity somewhat. D ring, wide belt loop and velcro loops give a multitude of attachment options.
Summary: The Domke F-901 was bought as a general purpose photographic gear pouch. Despite the 'compact' title this is a big, airy piece of equipment which can take stobe units, lenses and even small SLR bodies! Twinned with Domke's mini insert or protective wraps it will provide cushioned protection although cutting down on capacity somewhat. The D ring, wide belt loops and velco straps allow a multitude of attachments.
Pros: Lightweight, Lots Of Pockets And Features, Weatherproof
Summary: I purchased the Domke F-901 to use as a carrying case for my Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L which, when dismounted from the camera and capped on both ends, measures 7.5 long. The lens fits snugly inside the case with the tripod ring attached. I lined the case with 1/4 headliner material left over from an old automotive project for padding and shock protection. Domke's #720-200 padded insert is said to fit inside the F-901 pouch but I do not have it.
