Excerpt: This is my first Canon lens case. All others are more (foam) rigid and padded. This is a pouch that basically just protects against dust and the elements. Any stikes against this pouch will directly impact your lens.
Excerpt: I store all my lenses in these bags when not in use. Unfortunately they are too wide for my backpack and since the bottom is semi-rigid, they don't fit well in the small lens spaces. These cases are recommended for lenses with hoods on. In some cases I would suggest buying a size smaller if you don't use a hood. The case for my 10-22 is way too big and I use the smaller size bag. Other than that, the quality is great.
Excerpt: Curiously the EF-S 10-22 mm lens does not come with a lens hood or a protective cover. As I often fly with my camera bag as a carry on, I did not want an unprotected lens rattling around in the bag. This cover is very practical, it also looks good, and it will protect the 10-22mm lens with the hood attached.
