Works like they should

Skillz, B&H Photo
3 March 2009
  • Summary: I love these things. I plan to order some more for the side of my bag as well. I use the Canon backpack. Have them attached to the bottom so I can transport my tripod around easily. I wish they was a bit stronger, instead of "clipping" into place, using something that would allow them to like snap into place, then adjustable would be so much better. Otherwise it's a very, very simple design but it does work. My tripod doesn't weigh all that much, I'd say right at 4lbs.
  • Pros: Adjustable
  • Cons: Difficult to Attach, Weak

  • Summary: Simple to use, i use it to hold up my tripod at the bottom of my pack. Works well, at times the fasteners can loosen but otherwise it does what it has to do.
  • Pros: Adjustable

Cheaply made and overpriced

  • Summary: These things are pretty much useless. The locks are weak and cant carry anything more than a few pounds. I bought this to strap down my tripod which weighs only about 5 lbs and these locks dont hold. Zip ties are a cheaper and better alternative.
  • Cons: Cheap, Difficult to Attach, Weak

These straps are a "cinch"!

Useless

Shearerbug, B&H Photo
19 June 2008
  • Summary: I got these to attach my carbon fiber tripod to my Tamrac 5546 Adventure Backpack. The staps would not stay closed after numerous attempts, so to prevent my tripod from slipping out altogether, I had to tie them instead. Will have to look for either an alternate backpack or system to hold the tripod in place.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Does not work
