Summary: I read thru the reviews here and wanted to replace my current f/64 filter pack w/ something that didn't have mesh lined pockets to allow me to store filters w/o the plastic hard cases and still feel secure they won't scratch. This Tamrac is well constructed on the EXTERIOR. But beware, the INTERNAL 'slots' are NOT separate as described. It is ONE Pocket w/ four padded inserts that DO NOT go all the way to the bottom of the pocket.
Summary: I like this pack because it fits on my belt which is 2" wide ( hard to find packs and pouches with belt loops this wide). I carry 3 filters and my cell phone in it. Everything fits very nicely. No negatives.
Summary: Works well and keeps several filters quickly available plus storage for a lens cap, but keep an eye on it because the snaps do not hold well. Without the velcro to hold it in place it would likely fall off. I carry it on the outside of a camera backpack and have found it loose several times while hiking.
Summary: I recently purchased a couple of these as I already had the Expedition 5 rucksack, and knew that it formed part of Tamrac's Modular accessory system. The pouch is solidly constructed of black nylon, with a padded interior that is divided into five compartments to hold filters. The lid flap is held in place by velcro, and the belt strap is also secured by velcro, with the addition of two metal poppers.
Pros: Compact, Good Protection, Lightweight, Solid Construction
