Summary: Although it is true that the lens interferes with the flash, its wide aperture provides it with great light collecting capability, so even when its dim i can improve my pictures'quality without using the flash. It is great for long exposure times on a tripod as it captures very clear images with little aberation and you'll be surprised at how wide it makes your field of view. I am very happy with this lens and would recommend it hands down.
Summary: THIS IS A GREAT LENS CRISTAL CLEAR PHOTOS, IM GLAD I GOT THIS ONE INSTEAD OF A CHEAPER BRAND WITH SONY YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU GET QUALITY. JUST LIKE OTHER REVIEW YOU CAN NOT USE THE CAMERA FLASH BECAUSE THE LENS IS SO WIDE, WILL HAVE TO USE ADITIONAL FLASH, BUT PICTURE ARE NICE AND CLEAR.
Summary: In my opinion this is one of the best wide angle Converter lenses out there for the price.I would strongly recommend if your in the market for a wide angle converter lens ,regardless of the brand of camera you have, get this one. What your getting for the price is one hell of a feature packed lens. For one thing , look at the size of the mounting thread 74mm and now look at the size of the beefy optical glass objective, it's huge. It is also fully multicoated.
Summary: Ok, I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, despite reading the reviews on this page, and I've only got one thing to say: Yes, its a tad heavy (but balances the weight of the body perfectly, I must say), yes threading it onto the adapter is a bit of a pain. Clicking two clicks deep into a menu to activate it in the settings takes half a brain-cell, unlike some reviewers would have you believe. and finally, yes, it does eclipse the flash substantially.
Pros: Adds new subtle options, Easy To Use, Reliable
Summary: I bought this accessory lens to take on a backpacking trip to Japan. I did take it, but I only used it once. The lens itself weighs 13.25 oz compared to 16.85 for the camera with lens cap and strap. The plastic adapter is required, and the camera must be set up through a multilevel menu for use. The accessory lens is 4" in diameter while the camera is only 3.5" high. The size prohibits the use of the built-in flash.
Pros: Sharp Focus
Cons: Cannot use Camera Flash, Heavy, Requires Bulky Adapter, Tough To Attach
Summary: Well. is just a great extra lens... for people like me who can work with cybershots for makinf video sketches, is great. Is like moving optical of a pro camera, for video or cinema. And with B&W works great in photography. Great definition.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Strong Construction
