  • Excerpt: This lens cap covers the front of my lens. I haven't really asked it to do much more. Its a lens cap. It is a cap for your lens. Cap rhymes with Frappe.

It's A Lens Cap!

Germanhans, B&H Photo
9 September 2014
  • Excerpt: I mean, how complex can a thing be? The Sony lens cap works like it should, works with the original prime lens I have, as well as my Hoya filters. The indents in the front, so that you can operate it with easier ergonomics are nice. Definitely a good buy.

Tight fit

Apyh, B&H Photo
6 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought this because I had a filter added on my RX100 to enhance my monochrome photography. The filter is from Sony (VF49MPAM) as well. The lens cap falls in a bit tight and gets caught in the threads, probably because of the type of spring system in this cap. It is a nonindependent plastic spring.
  • Cons: Difficult To Use, Not Durable, Poor Design

Snappy!

silvrmn, B&H Photo
26 December 2013
  • Excerpt: After 20 months of taking it off and putting it on my Zeiss Sonnar E 1.8/24 Za lens the lens cap's spring lost its zing. It fell off somewhere, quietly, apparently. This is a perfect replacement. Snappy.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Grip Gradually Weakens
