Excerpt: The Pentax battery grip not only simple to attach to my Pentax K 5, it also allows my big hands to clasp the camera more comfortably. The grp's features sync extremely well with the camera's electronics. A great tool to have.
Excerpt: One battery goes in the grip, another in the body for 2! Seems to last forever on power. The vertical button on the grip is nice to have. It comes with a AA chamber in case you get stuck you can slide regular batteries in it if you are in a pinch.
Excerpt: At first I thought adding the grip to the K-5IIs was kind of an unnecessary luxury, but now that I used it for a couple of weeks the camera feels naked without it. The camera balances and handles better. I did not expect it but your left hand does benefit too because it rests against it while holding the lens when in landscape orientation (you need to try it to see it). Sorry if this is obvious but I had not used a camera with grip before.
Excerpt: This grip is weather sealed and made to the same exacting standards as my K5IIs. Forget about cheap knock-offs, why stick a sub standard grip on an excellent camera? I'll stick with the proven high quality of genuine Pentax/Ricoh.
Pros: Easy to Install, Long-Lasting, Reliable, Solid Construction
Excerpt: Very nicely constructed grip, thought a bit expensive. Solid construction, really like how it is shaped. Thy K-5 is great by itself, but super nice with the grip attached. I am purchasing it because I want to use Lithium AA batteries as an option.
