Great Image Stabilization. A great complement to the 14-42mm lens.

Summary: I bought this lens for my Panasonic DMC-GF3 which came with 14-42mm lens. Both use the same filter thread 52mm. This lens, 45-200, is unbelievably sharp all the way up to 200mm, and incredible I.S. (Image Stabilization). I could hand held at 200mm and still get sharp images.
Better than expected - smooth, fast, quiet telephoto shots - with minimal shakes!

Summary: Absolutely stunning Zoom capability on this lens - and appears to really dampen down the long-distance shakes! Just outfitted my (new) Panasonic GX7 with this telephoto. It zooms me in close for action, wildlife, and outside shots. Lens action is smooth and quick.
Summary: Decided to get this lens after purchasing the Lumix 14-140 3.5-5.6 due to the added zoom and it is an excellent lens for wildlife photography. Both lenses have a definite place with the 14-140 being used for contextual shots including habitat and the 45-200 needed for frame-filling shots.
Summary: Im happy with my new lens, I use it on a GMC-10 Lumix camera as a complement for the standard 14-42 lens and they cover pretty much all the needs of an amateur photographer as myself. Ths stabilization tool works very good on long range shots, and the lens is luminous enough even at large distances.
Summary: I bought this after failing to find a great deal on a H-FS100300 lens, and I'm really happy I did. I have the H-H020PP and H-FS014042. This extends my range significantly and takes much better pictures than the 14-42mm lens. It feels well built and solid.
Summary: ... to round out a system. Since I had sold my large clunky Canon DSLRs and gone mirrorless with the Panasonic Lumix GX7 this was an obvious choice. Since the micro four thirds system has 2X crop ratio, this becomes in effect a 90-400mm lens. Light, small and sharp. Definitely a good value.
Summary: Although the lens experts knock this lens for being plastic, that is not an issue for me, especially at this price. The optics are what counts for me and that is what amazed me when I put it to the test this morning at all focal lengths outside with a snowy landscape.

Summary: Panasonic apparently do not believe in catchy names for their lenses. But it does at least tell you exactly what you're getting. Since this is a micro four thirds lens you're looking at a zoom of 90mm to 400mm on the standard 35mm scale.
Summary: I've had the 45-200mm Lumix zoom for almost two weeks of testing. It was used primarily outdoors in available light with an Olympus E-pl1 body. The lens has proven to be extremely sharp and contrasty at all focal lengths.
Pros: Love the OIS, it's very stable even when fully zoomed. Might want to turn off your in camera IS before you use it though. It's a little on the heavy side for being a M4/3 lens, but overall it feels great. The build quality is amazing and both zooming and focusing is smooth. The AF is alright, cou...
