Summary: I recently picked up this product to help with my macro photography, it's great for holding my Speedlight off of my camera in order to better light my subjects, and the cable means I don't have to buy another ring-light. The best uses I can find for this are for macro photos and any photos in which you want to change the direction of your flash. It's much cheaper than buying a wireless setup.
Pros: Easy To Pack, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Reliable, Strong Construction
Summary: I use this cord as part of a 2 strobe set-up for doing insect photography. The SC-28 is a replacement for the SC-17 and is a much improved design. The cord attachments to the control units are much stronger and are relocated to put less wear and stress on the connection.
Summary: This cord works great for getting the flash off the camera. Foolproof, works great and is fairly heavy duty. My last one lasted three years of daily carrying around. This will probably be obsolete soon with the new Nikon cameras having Commander mode (easy wireless off camera flash).
Pros: Convenient Interface, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Reliable, Strong Construction
Summary: Does what it's supposed to do, but overpriced for what is basically an extension cord. More reliable than third party ones. Also, I wish Nikon would make a shorter one for use with flash brackets.
