  • Excerpt: I had to buy this for someone else, so I didn't want to buy a less expensive 3rd party version. If it were for me, that's exactly what I would have done!

  • Excerpt: This hood replaces the broken one for my favorite action lens, my 70-200mm VR II. It fits perfectly. There is no discernible difference between this one and the original equipment hood that came with the lens.

This was the correct Lens Hood

Photobug605, B&H Photo
11 June 2013
  • Excerpt: I lost the original Hood for my f2.8, 70-200mm VR Nikon lens and replaced it with an HB-29, which simply did not fit well, especially when reversed in the storage position. I then purchased the Nikon HB-48 (and some aftermarket HB-48 replacements). All fit great and better than the HB-29, but the Nikon, though more expensive, was more solidly built and is worth the extra cost.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Rugged
