Hood also a lens protector

ao3inca, B&H Photo
27 April 2010
  • Excerpt: I use the hood always. It did a good job of protecting the front lens as I discovered during a fall recently on a skiing trip, but it easily broke. Better the hood than the lens. The hood fits well on my 28-200 lens and snaps into locking position. Have to make sure it snaps once you twist it on, otherwise, it might fall off. The hood does not produce vignetting at wide angle.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight

essential accessory

Giulia, B&H Photo
24 November 2009
  • Excerpt: This hood is an essential accessory. I just wish it had a way of locking into place. I had this replacement on exactly a month before I lost it (again). Now I have to order another one! I admit I may have been careless, but if there were a way to click it into place, I think it would be harder to lose.
  • Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight
  • Cons: Tough To Attach
