Well-built, fast, and simple.

  • Excerpt: Bought one of these a while back, and it is *very* good at what it does. It's light, fast, rugged, solid, and fast. Yes, fast twice. I've been able to get rock solid tripod shots off using this that I never would have been able to get with a traditional head, given the need for much more adjustment...

31 March 2015

  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion
  • Cons: Heavy

Locks tight

Max Headroom, B&H Photo
20 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this with a 5D Mark III with a battery grip and a wireless mic receiver in the hotshoe, and it locks firm and sure. This is not for any sort of panning/tilting with video because it is not smooth, it is for adjusting your camera for static shots.

Hands get a work out!

19 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I have only just started to use this mount, but immediately noticed that it's somewhat difficult to get into position, especially with the camera button on the right hand side. It cold be user-error, but I had to put the mount on backwards in order to use my left hand to squeeze the joystick and...

So Far So Good

DenverGreg, B&H Photo
9 March 2013
  • Excerpt: I purchased this new tripod head to go with my new carbon fiber tripod. I had been using a 3-way head but felt it was very inefficient making all of those separate adjustments to get a shot. This lets me set the shot quickly and easily.

Well made, easy to use.

  • Excerpt: This is my first ball-head after using panheads. Decided to try this out after the handle of my last panhead stripped out - and wanted an identical quick release to my Manfrotto monopod. It's easy to use, locks securely and allows one to adjust the resistance on the ball.
