Excerpt: I asked what lens case folks use to carry their large 70-200/2.8 lenses on the forum and one "whit" said the case that it came in - haha. Seriously, the cases that the lenses come in don't work very well with other carry systems in my experience and the Tamron case is an example. Nice enough for shelf storage but for use in the field its a loss.
Pros: Large, fits 70-200 with Hood, well made, multiple methods of carry
Summary: I bought this to replace my Nikon provided case for my 70-200 2.8. I have a Lowepro Street and Field harness which doesn't accept the Nikon pouch very easily. This obviously fitted very simply and also fits my Spider Pro belt.
Summary: Quality of this Lens Case is excellent, as you'd expect from Lowepro.I actually strap this to the side of the Lowepro Toploader Pro 75 AW (also Excellent). The bottom of the Lens case runs flush alongside the bottom of the Toploader and almost comes up as high making it look good, almost made to measure. This enables me to have my 5D MK III with 24-70 f/2.8L II in the Toploader and my 70-200 in this lens case.
