Great mini tripod
19 June 2013
Summary: An awesome tripod. I've used this for indoor and outdoor low light shots, even long exposure night time shots in slightly breezy weather. Used with a small Sony A-37 SLR, with up to a 300mm lens. It's not the most steady one out there, because of it's light weight, and the end sections of the legs are a little on the flimsy side when extended. Also, it won't go all the way up to eye level.
Summary: I bought this as I was going to Iceland hopefully to see the aurora. I wanted something not too big, lightweight and not too expensive as I wouldn't use it very often. Folded up this fitted easily into my bag and rucksac. I had no problems using it with with my husband's (bridge) camera. I was very happy with it and I did see the aurora and get some pictures of it.
Summary: I use a more sturdy tripod for everyday use but bought this for when travelling light. It is ideal as it will fit in a small backpack and when I am on short flights on city breaks. Does not add much to the 10kg carry on limit.Even though lightweight it is very good.
Summary: Not the sturdiest of tripods but must be one of the lightest. At this price and wieght it can't fail to to score resonably well and to hold almost 2kg steady in breese what more could you ask for.A slightly longer thread on the base of the centre column would be nice to make attaching a bag easier. This would have improved the stability but at this price I think I'm being pedantic.
Excerpt: "...cameras, I have this little Hama Traveller Mini Tripod for my compact camera, and I have a full size Hama tripod for my DLSR. It was actually my husband that bought both of the tripods for me, he bought them as I'm far too shaky and I really don't have a steady hand when taking photos, he was forever laughing at my lack of photography skills and so he decided to try and help me out by buying me the two tripods. The Hama Traveller Mini Tripod is ...
Pros: fully adjustable legs, portrait or landscape shots
Summary: For a little, cheap, tripod to strap on your camera bag when you go out walking all day this is absolutely unbeatable value especially given that you can remove the head that comes with it and pop a slightly more substantial one in it's place. My 4 star rating is not because this is a brilliant product but because it is pretty good at being what you expect from it.WARNING - if they still haven't changed the website blurb I must point out, as I have to WEX, that this...
Excerpt: "...what does it look like? The Hama mini tripod is a silver coloured table top tripod, intended for use with compact cameras. It looks very similar to regular tripods but on a much scaled down size - it has 3 legs, a head (no quick release plate) and of course a crew thread to attach the camera to. The construction is very lightweight which is excellent for transportation, plus it packs up small enough to fit in handbags and some bigger pockets. Despite ...
Pros: very compact, versatility of shooting angle, quality construction
Cons: long winded attaching camera to tripod, overall limited usage
