Summary: I am not into extreme sports so when I first bought the GoPro 2 I was a little lost what to do with it. Its images are crisp and clear and big. It takes a little time to get used to the menu sequence compared to a camera with a view finder and even its huge menu. But as soon as I bought the backpack remote everything changed. Now I keep my camera on a monopod and with the remote can take pictures normally with a steady base.
Summary: Everyone who is popping off about this not being "ready" truly crack me up. It does exactly what the GP website says it will do, and they promise pad compatible aps in the near future. So why all the whining? I love people who say they would rather wait for a product to be "fully realized" before release. No computer ever devised would have ever been delivered under those requirements, or smart phone, or any electronic device, ever...
Summary: A lot of people are upset that all the features are not there yet. Mostly the smart phone apps. BUT you can still do a lot. Control up to 50 cameras at once!!! The remote as the same screen that the camera has, it shows up to the sec what is happening with the camera. I mounted a GoPro on top of my helmet and was able to control the camera with out needing to take everything off. AWESOME!! Some people where upset that you had to update the firmware before it would work.
Summary: It works really good. The product update is not as hard as the comments show, you just have to follow the instructions that appear on the GoPro tutorial for the wi-fi BacPac and wuala! And for those who are waiting for the GoPro App it will be released at the end of this month so just wait until then.
Summary: Yes, we all heard you, GoPro released this product before the app. Big deal, its not the only thing it does. Be patient and it will come out. Also quit complaining about the update, its really not that difficult and takes about 15 minutes of your time. You should be happy that GoPro backs their products and continues with product development even after the product is already in use. This controller is extremely beneficial and convenient.
Summary: I had been waiting for this since I bought my GoPro HD HERO2: Outdoor Edition (2011 Model), so when it was finally available on Amazon.com I ordered one up. The WiFi BacPac attaches to the GoPro camera just like the other premium accessories (LCD BacPac, Battery PacPac). A USB charging cable is included (it's just a standard mini-USB cable) and like the other premium accessories, GoPro includes a couple of different backdoors in the box compatible with the WiFi BacPac.
