Summary: I love this remote switch. It meets all my needs; no complaints about the length of the cord. I flip my Canon live view screen to face forward, set the timer to a 10 second delay, step back to check the framing of my picture and press the button. I just took a self portrait.
Cons: The cord does not stay pinched in the notch on the remote so when it lets loose it sometimes gets tangled in the camera strap or tripod wands.
Summary: This remote is very nice quality, it performs flawlessly. Notice that the cord is only 25" long, older photographers will recognize this as a pretty normal length cord. For me it's a little short so I decided to lengthen it by several feet.
Excerpt: I had ordered a macro lens and knew from past experience that I would need this gadget. I had used the older type with the pushcable when I shot Olympuses. (Could even shoot off two cameras at once with my double. I was hip!
Summary: This remote is very handy when you want steady camera pics. For example in the winter when your hands are cold which could make the camera shake a bit. Just put your camera on a tripod and insert the remote into the USB connection. Works great!
Summary: Nice small wired remote with convenient partial press feature to focus and the lock feature for time exposures. Only complaint is that an extension cord should be available for taking self portrates etc. Cord is limited length.
