Too small

Dorreen Benoit, Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: Remote is extremely small measuring no more than 2". Could easily be lost. I guess that is why they are not very expensive.

Not exactly what I expected.

Anonymous, Crutchfield
2 February 2014
  • Summary: Although it was very inexpensive, for some reason it doesn't seem to work with my camera. It also does not have a zoom in/out feature which is what I was really hoping for it to have.

Works but very limited distance

Jalisco, Adorama
25 November 2013
  • Excerpt: Unable to use when behind the camera or when more than 5 feet in front of the camera. But, it does work and is better than no remote.

Just OK

kaneohebud, Adorama
15 May 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought this to use with my 7D because the Vello wireless remote I was using kept locking up in constant firing mode. I expected a Canon product to be better. I read mixed reviews on the RC-6 but thought I'd give it a try. Here're the facts: 1. You must have the remote in front of the camera 2.

Canon RC-6 Remote

Adorama
23 January 2012
  • Excerpt: Works well, but you have to be in front of camera. Good when you want to be in the picture, not so good for taking pictures of wildlife. My camera has IR sensor only on front of camera - it would be better if camera had both front and rear facing sensors.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Lightweight

Relax and click

margery, J&R
18 June 2010
  • Excerpt: I like to use a tripod for my work with portraits and the remote allows me to stepout from behind the camera and relate to my subject. I can arrange and pose or share a joke face to face.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight
  • Cons: A short delay may miss

A good buy.

Ronald Liboiron, Amazon
11 May 2015
  • Summary: Got delivery pretty quickly. It works but the range of the remote is limited. Outside on a sunny day, it's practically useless. I expect it will perform much better indoors where the IR sensor on the camera is not blinded with light. Still a very nice gadget for the price.

lacking

Bailey Chretien, Amazon
30 April 2015
  • Summary: No instructions or anything else. I had to Google the instructions and every video showed an extra battery, instructions and a carrying case; this is not like that.
