  • Summary: This is a great battery. I bought one 8 years ago for camera and just had to replace it this month. It holds a charge for quite a while and lasts a long time.

  • Summary: This is a very good quality battery. It is the only one that will fit my Canon Camera and I couldn't fine one in my town. The battery is holding it's charge very well and I am very pleased with it.

This is the battery you need for backup

  • Summary: If you need an extra battery for your camera, which you do, get the original battery not a cheap off brand. I couldn't find a better price anywhere and that was almost 50% off most retailers
  • Pros: This is the original Canon battery, not a off market replacement.
  • Cons: none

  • Summary: I've been using this battery for over a year and it works great. The main advantage is it costs significantly less than an original Canon battery. I highly recommend it.
  • Pros: Works great, just like the original.
  • Cons: None to speak of.

  • Summary: I bought this battery for my canon 400D. I prefer Canon brand to other generic brand batteries. It costs $55, a little expensive though. This battery is super light weighted; charging fast; long lasting......match all my expectations. Love it!
  • Pros: everything is good
  • Cons: A little pricy

The only battery to go with - even for a backup...

  • Summary: I bought this battery to replace a generic battery that was 800 mAh thinking the price difference and the additional power would be a wise decision. It turned out to be one of my biggest mistakes. If you take pictures as a hobby like I do and when you found that shot and your battery dies, the next thing to do is grab the replacement. Well my generic did not hold the charge at ALL and I was left with a missed shot.
  • Pros: Holds Charge regardless what level of battery power is left. Charge lasts a long time (approximately 100 RAW images 30% with flash).
  • Cons: none found at the time.

great battery for Canon DC

  • Summary: I had one when I bought canon powershot S30, it works just great for almost 5 years till now! My dad wants me to buy another spare one in case that the original one failed. He told me that he bought a generic one for this camera but not good at all. The one I just bought is original and authetic and it charges very fast! I am satistied with this product and highly recommend it instead of buying a generic one.
  • Pros: 1. long-lasting 2. quick charge 3. authetic and original one, much better than generic replacement battery 4. Dependable
  • Cons: 1. a little bit expensive

A long lasting battery.

  • Summary: This is my 4th battery. I like to do a lot of overseas traveling and I own the Canon ZR 700 and the Canon S80. The battery is compatible with both. I use the charger that came with the S80 to charge batteries for either product. It is small and recharge time is about 60 min per battery - sometimes a little longer. I like to charge one over night and leave one charging while I am out and one if I take a mid day break. (So why do I own 4?
  • Pros: It can work for about 60 min of video recording or 1.5 gigs of still pictures.
  • Cons: No indicator light on the battery.

  • Summary: After spending thousands on camera body, lens, and all kinds of accessories, the last thing you want is to run out of battery while you are in the field. This is from my bloody lesson, BUY GENUINE BATTERIES!!! Forget about the cheap, short-lived, devastating generic.
  • Pros: Worry-free, long-lasting
  • Cons: Expensive
