Excerpt: Hood is a bit tricky to install until you figure out the 'best wiggle' to get it to seat properly. Once in place, it is solid and works well. I was expecting the Canon non-reflective black lining that I have on other Canon hoods, but not on this one... pricey for this small plastic item.
I am very disappointed since I have bought other products from Neewer before ...

Summary: This lens hood is supposed to work for a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS, but when I received it I found it does not fit. The diameter is slightly too small to fit on the lens. I am very disappointed since I have bought other products from Neewer before and they were fine.
Summary: It fits but on the tight side. The shape is alright too. What is wrong, is it has a shiny finish. The inside is not a flat or mat finish. Sun reflecting off the inside finish will glare, and make things worse. I would not buy it again, not even close.
Summary: It's an exact fit, but a little hard to attach on my SX 50 IS. I don't think it's necessarily the fault of Neewer as I noticed other lens attachments and accessories were also a little hard to attach to the Canon SX 50 IS's unique filter attachment system.
Excerpt: If you shoot in bright light a lot a lens shade is a must. It also protects the front lens element from damage. You can also reverse the hood and store it on the camera. For a piece of plastice it's overpriced.
Excerpt: Works well on the SX50 HS. Did not seea any vignetting, as described by other users. Not useful at all focal lengths, but easy to leave in place. Can't use this on the SX60 HS at the same time as the filter holder.
