Does the job well

RHP, B&H Photo
14 July 2014
  • Excerpt: I tried to save a couple dollars and replace my damaged hood with a used one. Not worth it! This hood fits my 70-200 perfectly - no wiggle, no worries. Really helps reduce flare.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Improves Function

great lens protector

bob the birder, B&H Photo
7 November 2013
  • Excerpt: I use the lens hood to protect the lens. To enclose the subject that I want to photograph. To keep out unwanted light . The product does a very good job of taking care of these items. The disadvantage is that it falls off a little easily. The slightest jar often will cause it to come off of the lens.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Improves Function, Lightweight
  • Cons: Easily Lost

Exact same as original

Chris, B&H Photo
19 August 2013
  • Excerpt: It is a perfect replacement although I wish Canon would re-engineer it so that it's internal stops would not wear out if you overtighten the hood on the lens too often.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Improves Function, Lightweight
  • Cons: Flimsy

Nothing better than Original Equipment!

Rui Fidalgo, B&H Photo
30 July 2012
  • Excerpt: You get what you pay for, and in this case per example, nothing works better than the original manufacturar equipment, so no unforeseen issues occur. And the fact that B&H has the original equipment on hand, is one further reason to return here to purchase photographic equipment, and and great service.

Must buy name brand!

Erin, B&H Photo
15 November 2011
  • Excerpt: When I bought my canon lens used, it didn't have the lens hood. I purchased a generic lens hood and have always had trouble getting it to stay on the lens. This one works perfectly! I highly recommend the extra pennies be put into buying a lens hood that is the same brand as the lens, what a difference!
