This One Fits

Poppa the Photographer, Adorama
25 June 2013
 • Excerpt: Tried to sneak by on the cheap and buy the non-Canon version - mistake. It really did rattle in the wind. This one is secure - maybe even a bit stiff still after only a month, but I don't keep checking it to make sure it won't fall off. Bite the bullet and spend the bucks here, and cry only once.

 • Excerpt: I use a hood whenever I have need to control lens flare. This lens hood does that well.

The downside is the price. The lens hood should be included with the lens Canon! That's not a knock on Adorama by any means; I appreciate them having them in stock!

Works Well

Adorama
6 February 2012
 • Excerpt: I purchased this for my 70-300mm lens. It has a slight felt like coating on the inside. Works well, however, I can not adjust the polarizer too easily.

I also purchased a LensCoat neoprene lens hood cover to protect it when stomping through the forests.
 • Pros: Durable, Lightweight
 • Cons: Bulky

Works as advertised

DLieu1, Adorama
6 February 2012
 • Excerpt: Works as advertised. Blocks out flare. Protects the front lens element. Never had a problem with it. it is big but that is to be expected. Bought it for 70-300 IS USM. I always keep it on there when shooting and reverse the hood for storage. Can get a little annoying if you reverse the lens hood for storage because the front element rotates so be sure to switch your lens from AF to MF when taking the hood on and off because I don't believe the 70-300 IS USM includes full...
