Good Deal

  • Pros: Can't go wrong with the extra battery. I like the long neck strap. Camera strap around neck and camera still goes in my shirt pocket. Canon Case is good for storing camera when in suitcase or briefcase. Use the free case that came with the SD880 combo for everyday use
  • Cons: Canon Case has limited value.

Not the level of quality expected.

Lothar C., Newegg
24 May 2008
  • Summary: Canon makes a much better camera, then case.
  • Pros: For $5.00 over the price of the canon battery alone ($50), you get a case, long silver metal strap, and a short black strap. The case alone is $17. Shipping is high, $6.
  • Cons: The case is too thick, hard, and difficult to insert the camera into. Feels like you might damage the camera. The camera is a Ultra-Compact size, but the case makes it bulky. Expected a thinner softer leather. The long silver strap is nice, the short black strap is cheap looking, the strap that c...

Nice kit

Garry G., Newegg
6 August 2007
  • Summary: I used one battery for 14 full days on a recent trip to France. Was able to take almost 600 photos on the first charge before the battery died. Case is nice, neck strap not so much. Definitely buy this over the battery alone.
  • Pros: Much better deal than the battery alone, nice quality case, battery capacity is great
  • Cons: Case+camera is a little too thick. Neck strap is instant geek card.

Actualy quite a good deal

  • Summary: I'd suggest buying this package, but also get yourself a larger nylon/zipper case, to hold all of your stuff: your camera in the leather case, your spare battery, neckstrap, wrist strap, spare memory card, mini tripod, manual, etc. Most compact nylon cases will easily hold all of these items.
  • Pros: It's a great deal if you plan on buying a replacement Canon-brand battery, in which case you're getting a leather case and unbreakable metal neckstrap for free. The camera's included wrist strap is more useful, although the neckstrap is a commonly used camera accessory, and this one can't be brok...
  • Cons: None.

It's okay

Deric B., Newegg
9 June 2006
  • Summary: Case is just not great. There are nicer softer cases. It is leather though. If you're getting an extra battery, might as well get this. If not, no reason to get this. Although, neckstrap is nice.
  • Pros: The battery is cheaper by a couple bucks... might as well get this with all the extras. Metal neckstrap is awesome.
  • Cons: The wrist strap that comes with the SD700IS is nicer than this one. (unless you like leather that much). The case leaves a lot to want.
