Change is a good as a rest

The British Photographer, B&H Photo
18 June 2014
 • Excerpt: Makes a really nice change from my round the neck Canon strap. Nice to have one hand free whilst my camera is secured, and I'm beginning to feel more confident in the screw fastener at the bottom. I have to say that my camera is now more prone to swinging into the rear end of somebody (especially with a speedlite attached) and I have to remind myself that the center of gravity is now underneath (grab your camera by the strap like I used to, and the whole thing is going...

Great strap

Joel, B&H Photo
31 October 2013
 • Excerpt: This strap is a great replacement for a stock neck strap in terms of carrying comfort and staying out of the way. Overall the construction is very good, and the restrictor tabs perform well enough. I find the draw time from hip to shooting position to be very acceptable. One downside in construction is the release clip being located on your back with no additional security against unwanted release.
 • Pros: Camera Control, Comfortable, Well Padded
 • Cons: Strap Connects In Back

Worth buying

Maneesh Chandran, B&H Photo

 • Excerpt: The product is amazing. It would have fetched 5 stars from me if the strap length was made a little more longer. even though with the present length, used it for a trek recently, and i jus have 2 words to describe the product."Simply Amazing "..it's a must have for people who have Photography as their passion and who wish to take it along where ever they go. I would recommend this product for my friends..
 • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Strong Construction, Well Padded
 • Cons: Shorter Strap Length

Great design - too heavy for me

Squanto the Indian, B&H Photo
20 May 2013
 • Excerpt: The BlackRapid RS-7 is a good overall strap; however, it was not comfortable to wear when holding a Canon 5D (with 50mm lens). I know other photographers who have no problem with the weight even with heavier setups however for me the strap became uncomfortable. It is too bad because the design of the strap is otherwise very good.

 • Cons: Uncomfortable

Great Strap, but...

Bryent, B&H Photo
20 May 2013
 • Excerpt: The claims for this product is definitely true. Holding a large camera with heavy lenses is definitely easier. The shoulder padding is comfortable. The camera slides across the strap at easily, however, there are times when it will drag and pull the shoulder pad off your shoulder. Not easy to sit down with since the strap will come completely off and slide down your body. Black Rapids provides an add on for this strap that goes under your arm.
 • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Does not Chafe, Strong Construction, Well Padded
 • Cons: Slides

 • Excerpt: Even though it's a bit steep for what you get - I enjoy this strap and I'm happy I bought it. Fit: a bit short (I'm 6'4") so I bought the extension Comfort: Very. Twice I've worn it all day with no complaints. I recommened it.
 • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Does not Chafe
 • Cons: Slides Around A Bit

Takes some getting used to

Dave, B&H Photo
7 April 2013
 • Excerpt: This is the first camera strap I've used that's not the standard issue manufacturer strap, so it's taken me a little while to get used to. It's great to have my camera at my side and ready for easy shooting. However, the camera does tend to dangle and spin around when I'm moving, but overall it's well-balanced no matter what lens is attached. The main downside is the price - somewhat expensive for what it is.
 • Pros: Comfortable, Does not Chafe, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Comfortable and Easy

Fox Foto, B&H Photo
4 March 2013
 • Excerpt: I recently bought this to use on my 7D and all the praise I had read was spot on. I'm a broad-shouldered guy so usually anything across the chest or shoulders is uncomfortable, but this strap really makes the camera seem light as a feather and it moves easily, no bunching, etc. It's also very easy to remove when I just want to shoot quickly and discretely. I'll never go back to a neck strap.

Much better than the original

WhiteSlow, Cameta
7 February 2013
 • Excerpt: Excellent product much better than the original "look at me, i have a Canon" strap.
The only thing against it is that the bottom of the camera gets scratched with use from the hinges.
Highly recommended.
 • Pros: Comfortable, No More Brand Ads, No More Canon Ad, Strong Construction
 • Cons: Scratches The Camera
