It works.

  • Excerpt: This strap works in that it is more comfortable than using a neck strap. However, with a long lens mounted to the camera it is still somewhat wildly when carrying and flops around. The screw attachment DID come loose from my camera but only loose and I did not lose the camera.
  • Pros: Strong Construction, Well Padded

Indifferent

  • Excerpt: Having to log a heavy camera around your neck, especially in the hot summer,is not pleasant. And regular camera straps are not long enough to strap across the shoulders! So I was excited about the RS-7 taking the load off my neck!
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Well Padded
  • Cons: Difficult to Attach

Useful and reliable but overpriced

  • Excerpt: Very nice and reliable strap. Been using it all the time once purchased and I really like it. The only drawback is that it is utterly overpriced as for a strap, hence 3 stars.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Price

Not sure about this.

  • Excerpt: It is easy to carry your rig when walking or just hanging around for a shot. Also pulling up for a shot is smooth. What I don't like is changing out a lens. With the RS-7 hooked up to your camera body you need to hold it right side up while making a change of lens.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Not for everybody

  • Excerpt: This is a very well made strap that is comfortable to wear. However, it is only useful if you only carry one lens with you. The attachment is solid, but heavy and bulky, so you can forget putting the camera in a compact bag, or most bags with extra lenses.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Does not Chafe, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Bulky Attachment, Heavy

Not for a larger fella

KWGeorge, B&H Photo
2 April 2014
  • Excerpt: As my collection of camera straps get larger I am finding they are exceptionally hard to buy without seeing them. The RS-7 is not designed for a big guy as it is way to short and does not work well wearing on the shoulder as the pad is not sticky enough to stay on ones shoulder.
  • Pros: Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Needs More Adjustment

Quality product

  • Excerpt: This is a quality product that does it's job - safely secures your camera while providing a comfortable fit. The only down side is that it doensn't adjust well to a smaller body. I had to adjust the strap to its shortest length and it's still a bit big.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Does not Chafe, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Limited Adjustment

Great Strap But Occupied Tripod Spot a P

NormU, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I would give this a higher rating but I can't live with the inconvenience of having to unscrew the mount for the strap (goes in the tripod slot / screw hole), then screw in my tripod mount then take the tripod mount off, etc. Very well made - could be a tad longer for me (6' tall).
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Ties Up The Tripod Slots

  • Excerpt: It is to wear across chest. No stress on neck. But sharp metal edge is little uncomfortable.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Sharp Metal Edges

Highly rated, limited use

  • Excerpt: I bought this on the basis of rave reviews. I have an L bracket on my Canon cameras for quick mounting to a tripod. On the days I don't want to use a tripod, I can remove the L bracket(s) and screw this strap into the tripod mount hole. It hangs off one shoulder for easy access.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Does not Chafe, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Prevents L Bracket Use
