Summary: Purchased this little gem as a songwriting aid. I could not be any more happy with it. I like to record my new songs, listen to them, make changes, re-record them, and repeat. This is very time consuming and costly in a pro studio. Quick and easy with the Zoom Q2HD.

Summary: I love love love this video recorder. I followed the advice of other reviewers to make sure to download the HandyShare software included on the 2 GB memory card first before switching to a larger card (32 GB SDHC).

Summary: This AV recorder is great, the sound and picture quality really surprised me! It takes just a little learning curve to determine how it works best for your needs but once you're used to it and use it regularly it's really a piece of cake!
Summary: This is not a good all-around video camera. But it excels--especially for the price--in certain situations. I needed a foolproof way to record classes/lectures at our church, with the emphasis being on good audio.
Summary: This camera is excellent! I bought it to record my violin students' performances. Great sound quality. My only complaint is that it eats batteries-- you can plug it in, but when that isn't easy, you definitely go through batteries fast.
Summary: This was a steal of a deal on a great piece of equipment. The university I go to started using these to record lessons, ensemble work, conducting sessions, as well as recitals. This thing can do it all and I have already been putting it through the paces. A must have for the serious music student.
Summary: I bought this for my son to use in college to record his teaching and conducting. He loves it and says it is much improved over the old Zoom video recorder. I recommend buying the table top tripod and a larger SD card.
