Excerpt: The Zoom Q2HD has excellent audio and acceptable video for most applications. Works great for you tube videos, web cam support, etc. I use it to record drums and it delivered quite well. No distortion and clear dynamic sound. Should come with rechargeable batteries as this thing goes through them quite fast. Other than that it is awesome.
Excerpt: I bought this camera to replace an older Kodak PlaySport. The PlaySport takes really nice videos, but the audio was lacking. I use the camera mostly to record my son's gigs (typically just him with a mic and guitar plugged into amp at local restaurant/tiki bar type venues with a lot of background noise from patrons)so I wanted to upgrade to a camera with better audio. Pros: The audio is a huge improvement, which was my most important criteria in choosing this camera.
Pros: Aa Batteries Are A Lot Ch, Great Sound, The Audio Is A Huge Impro
Excerpt: Videa and audio quality are very good for the price paid. Very easy to use. Only complaint so far is that Battery life seems to be poor, maybe a couple hours usage at best from a fresh pair of Energizer alkaline batteries. I suppose it's a reasonable trade-off for the price paid, but I've had better battery life on other recorders owned in the past (Ederol). Don't plan on recording a long event without interruption, unless you can plug-in somewhere.
Excerpt: I bought the Zoom Q2HD for my young daughter, who took it right out of the box and started making a film with her friend. It can be set as a video camera or an audio only recorder. After a few basic menu settings are adjusted (for some reason you have to go in and turn the headphone monitor "on.") the unit is ready to go. The sound quality is very good, thanks to the stereo microphones on the top of the Q2HD.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound
Excerpt: Zoom products (I have a couple) are wonderful audio recorders. The sound is near CD quality using their built-in microphones. With a high quality microphone, the sound is even better. This little unit appealed to me because it combines medium-quality video in an amazingly low price (it was $ in a flash sale). PREtty inexpensive. I didn't need another recorder but I could always use a video to add visuals to my automotive blog posts on -------------.
Pros: Build quality, Easy to Use, Great Sound, Price, Value
Excerpt: The first thing Zoom says about their handy video recorders is that they come with "A whole lot of audio & a little bit of video". With that in mind, the Q2HD makes a fantastic entry-level product when compared to the more expensive Q4 model.I use the Q2HD to record live concerts which are often poorly lit, and as a reference camera with great backup audio for filming interviews.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Sound
Cons: No External Mic Input, No image stabilization, Poor Image Quality, Poor In Low Light
Excerpt: i use this recorder at church to get audio. its small and not big and bulky, so its easy pull out and record. the cam. is not that great but i don't use it for video. overall a nice piece of equipment.
Excerpt: Bought as a backup for my Olympus LS 20M. Good camera for the price. No external mic input like my Olympus is the main drawback for me. I use to record interviews after sporting events. Works well for close-up shots. Reminds me of the old Flips, but audio quality is better.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound
